How Many Days for You... (Part 6)

209 Days!!! I hear end of October/beginning of November is a great time to go. Can't Wait. (Last time we went in middle/late June. Too hot and crowded!)

How Many Days for You...(Part 5)

229 unless my work changes the week we get off. Then it's 257.

    Port Orleans: Riverside

My wife and I spent our belated honeymoon at POR also, only then it was called Dixie Landings.

    ECV Rumor

No, I don't see anybody passing judgment here, do you?

    ECV Rumor

I don't have what you would determine a disability. I'm just a fat guy that loves WDW. After taking a couple of trips with my back, feet, and knees hurting, I asked myself why should I be so miserable at my favorite place in the world? The next day I rented a ECV. Since then I've never looked...

    Best Resort for the money

Count another vote for Master Yoda. If I gave my weird answer it would be for our stay at the Boardwalk Villas. We stayed in a one bedroom villa and "rented" our points through a DVC member. We paid a little more than our stay at a moderate and I've never had a better resort experience. Beware...

    13 Day Passes?

Blasphemy!! (We're spending a couple of days "off campus" ourselves when we go in October).

Oct 2010 Roll Call Too Early??

We are hoping to be there Oct. 7 - 18. We went last time in June of 2009. Never again in mid to late June! About a week after we got home there was the terrible monorail accident. I thought about the crowds, heat and how bad conditions would be with half of WDW's transportation system being...

Moderate Resorts - Your views on them?

We've stayed at a value (All Star Sports) a moderate (POR - Dixie Landings when we stayed) a Deluxe (Polynesian) and a Vacation Villa (Boardwalk). In my opinion the step up from moderate to deluxe wasn't worth the extra $. The step up from value to moderate is worth it. We didn't have kids back...

CSR in October - What's going on?!?!

I thought free dining ended Oct. 2nd. I was trying for 10/7. I know they extended it last year (I'm hoping for that to happen this year). I just didn't know.

CSR in October - What's going on?!?!

I tried to book a room at Coronado Springs the second week of Oct 2010. All the standard rooms are already booked. This is a big resort and I didn't think there would be a reservation problem this far out. I don't want to have to pay extra for a king bed or water view. I know that CSR has...

Help Me Choose My Deluxe Resort!

I still vote for Boardwalk. But I, fortunately, do not suffer from Coulrophobia. :p Coulrophobia is abnormal or exaggerated fear of clowns. The term is common, but it does not appear to be used in psychology.[1] The condition is common among children, but is also sometimes found in teenagers...

Help Me Choose My Deluxe Resort!

When my family was at WDW last June, we spent 7 days at the Poly and 5 days at the Boardwalk Villas. We liked BWV a lot more than the Poly but a lot of our preference had to do with staying at a villa vs. a hotel room. However, we really did love Boardwalk - the brightness of the lobby and...

Port Orleans French Quarter or Coronado Springs

Thanks everyone for the input. I think we've made up our minds (I don't want to be divisive so I won't tell which resort we're choosing) but all your opinions we're great and well received.

Port Orleans French Quarter or Coronado Springs

Hey Everyone, We're planning a trip to WDW in October and wanted to stay at a moderate resort. We're leaving the kids at home on this trip and celebrating our 20th anniversary so we don't need kids activities but we'd like some romance. Back in '92 we went on our first trip and stayed at Port...

what park would you do twice??

I'd definitely do Epcot at least twice. I have a 7 day trip planned and I'm doing every park twice with the exception of AK. Epcot for me is the most difficult park to take in during 2 days.

    Depressed...

There aren't many new attractions and changes that have been made since April 2009. By April 2011 there should be so many new attractions that 4/11 should make for a wonderful trip. Hall of Presidents can wait. I don't think that Space Mountain has changed that much. Think of how little time...

The Dining Plan WAS a good deal but not anymore

Okay, here's a question for you. If Disney as masters of making cash were making so much additional money on the DDP, why did they remove the more expensive items from the menus after the Dining Plan came out? Those expensive items which you seem to miss so much. I believe the items were removed...

The Dining Plan WAS a good deal but not anymore

I agree. We can now afford to eat at nice TS restaurants which we would have bypassed before. We may spend more but I feel but I feel we're getting alot of value out of the program.
