Is Captain Marvel an off-limits character for WDW? If not, then maybe that could be a possibility assuming the movie does well.

I did mean it could handle crowd overflow. But I've also been sitting shiva ever since Great Movie Ride closed and lost track of construction, not realizing there was now an access road there! Curious to watch this spot and see what happens over here.

Looks good actually. Serves a lot of the same purpose as Muppet Courtyard/Grand Avenue does to the other entrance to SW:GE

I stand corrected! Sorry. I thought Black Panther was like Guardians and Doctor Strange- that it would be okay for the FL parks. I thought the characters off limits were those with some presence at IOA.

So can we assume that “Wakanda” will move into AK in the coming years? A follow up announcement after SWL and when Pandora’s newness has worn off and it’s AK’s turn again for big news?

I support the idea of a one clone maximum. If an Asian resort or Paris gets it, then ONE domestic park can have it but not both, and vice versa. If Paris gets something and its cloned in Hong Kong, then it remains abroad, and so on. WDW is getting Ratatouille and TRON clones, so nowhere else...

I'm pretty sure the rope swinging pirate in DLP's Pirates was a Tarzan mold. Since they can't seem to ever leave Pirates alone, maybe he'll be reused in that way?

We've still got almost two years before SW:GE opens....so I would think MV 3D is safe until then. Unless they are planning something that can be a quick swap and open with SW:GE It just feels like there are so many flex theatre spaces I hope it doesn't become yet another one.

The fact that grand Avenue and baseline taphouse are generic and don't have a character/IP theme attached makes me think this helps integrate Mama Melrose better, and nothing will change with it.

It seems Pandora is being well received....and Star Wars will inevitably be HUGE. So this is probably best as an "in-betweener". It'll more than satisfy those that are easy to please, and those that aren't won't cry too much because of all the other stuff that's happening. Had it come first...

I consider anything that's been there since the 1989 opening or close to it as "beloved". Maybe "precious" is more accurate.

And as original creator of this thread, I decided that since the demo stage seems to have passed and we are now seeing new developments around the beloved streets of America, that maybe a slight adjustment to the title would be appropriate.:)

Incredible photo! I think that art deco-ish design on the stuff going up will make a good transition. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily the Animation Building transformed so well into Launch Bay with little effort. This area is going to look very nice, though I wish there was more planned...

I almost never check the SWL or TSL threads....for some strange reason this area is the one I'm most interested in keeping an eye on.

I don't think I will mind if they upgrade the exterior of Muppetvision to look more like a theatre with a lit marquee, etc.. Makes total sense. Plus we lost that with the SOA demolition to HISTK.

My not so profound prediction is once SWL opens we will get Indy 5, and then the stunt show gets overhauled, Star Tours gets an overlay, and Backlot Express gets an Indy re-theme. Cheap and easy "land" constructed while still paying off those SWL bills.
