Normally it is due to launch base having to stop the launch due to a guest issue. Ie having a camera out or arm sticking through the harness. A few years back you used to just launch with no countdown once it was reset but they've since tweaked the program.

Yup! This is the reason why splash was running a while back with the entire finale boat dead. In peak many see it as better to let people ride with a few glitches than no one riding at all.

Splash has evaced pretty much every day for the last three years (thunder even more often). Its just what happens when running stuff this complicated. Nothing serious just sensors getting splashed most likely.

For comparison, thunder didnt soft open this year until 3 days before reopening. The cast was there to open for a full week before but we couldnt get the building turned over.

The ride didn't break down. There probably was a slow wheelchair party at unload. It's a completely normal thing that happens pretty often. There was no danger at all.

The standby queue and fastpass queue entrances have been switched and its looking good for a very short soft open.

That is correct. If you rode it on the last day before the refurb you would have been able to see it. It was running backwards but still.

Which is why they were testing it months ago at splash. Testing and feedback is done. This is happening everywhere at the same time.

You're correct with the date. I forgot what year I transferred and 2010 makes a lot more sense. And no one was hurt in Orlando. Thats the one in three I was referring to. Google it, the next rock fell almost a year to the date and was all over the news since it actually fell onto a train.

Because two of the three rocks that fell seriously injured people. It's not state of the art but it's not worth the liability.

The tarp went up around summer 09. Dont remember the exact date but it was definitely 09. Did no one notice that the same rock that was covered in Florida fell in California and Paris nearly killing guests not long after the Florida tarp went up?

The falling rocks will never be back. They're putting in projections instead. One of these was already installed at the top of c lift (upside down so the rocks were falling up) before it went down for refurb.

They start construction Monday with completion in March.
