Would you upgrade to a mod. resort if...

Absolutely. I know many people love the values, but we are not one of them. We will skip a trip if we can't stay moderate. We just found the values to be too noisy, hectic and crowded. We prefer a more spread out resort where it never truly feels crowded and it is much more peaceful. Then you...

Port Orleans French Quarter or Coronado Springs

We have stayed at the Coronado (CSR) eight times with number nine coming up this September. DH and I have celebrated both of our 50th birthdays there, my celebration of surviving breast cancer and our 25th wedding anniversary (and I chose the CSR over the Poly for our 25th--that's how much we...

    Best Resort In Disneyworld

We don't care for the values and the only one we've stayed out of your list is the Coronado; we've stayed eight times and love everything about it.

    fantasmic dinner package

We've been there the exact same time three of the last four years. The first year I couldn't get the Fantasmic Package at my 180 day mark nor were there any cancellations once we got there. I was able to book it the next two times. I would definitely book it if there is a spot available at the...

Which Restaurant at The Wilderness Lodge???

We've never done Artist Point (we don't do signature restaurants at Disney as we are spoiled by all the fine restaurants in Chicago). However, I would pick that over the Whispering Canyon Cafe any time. Actually, I would pick almost any restaurant over the WCC. WCC has joined with Hollywood &...

    coronado springs or wilderness lodge?

Personally, you could not pay me to stay at the WL. We have visited twice -- and twice we had the rudest of CM's -- one who lied right to our face. Don't get me wrong, the resort is beautifully done, but the theme holds no appeal to me -- especially in Florida. The talk of the long walks at...

    Info for disney resort rooms 12/2 - 12/9 2009

Actually, they are at the All-Stars this year and the Coronado -- not the Caribbean or Port Orleans.

Planning on booking a moderate, suggestions?

We have only stayed at the CSR (we'll be there in 10 days for our 8th stay). However, we have visited the POFQ many times and it would be our back-up moderate if CSR were not available. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.

We are arriving on the 18th/19th (around midnight on the 18th).

    Coronado Springs Questions

Yes, it is Expedition Everest that you can see from CSR.

    Coronado Springs Questions

I'm sorry you had to deal with that from the conventioneers. I find it inexcusable. Did you report it? I would have. I guess we've been lucky in seven stays, each time with a convention or two going on, and never having a problem with the convention people. Believe it or not, we had a problem...

    Csr

We have always stayed in the Casitas section (all seven stays); this trip we've asked for Cabanas or Ranchos just to try something new. We especially love Casitas 4 and 5...both are close to the quiet pool, the fitness center/spa and a short walk to Bus Stop 2 which is the first stop picked up...

Who else will be there Sept 11-20th??

We are doing a mini trip September 18 - 22. Staying at the Coronado (CSR) for the 8th time. Looking forward to seeing the renovated rooms up close and in person and enjoying the parks as always. After that we are going to Marco Island for a week.

A trip report at Coronado Springs

I am glad you enjoyed your stay at the CSR. I'm surprised by the buses to be truthful. Everyone I've ever talked to who has stayed there has indicated the buses are some of the best (with close pick ups at the parks). They also indicated that they never had trouble going to the parks with the...

I am so sorry to hear this. I know it must be just awful. I hope you can still enjoy the rest of your vacation.

And I find that natural. Unlike the fathers I see walking around with their kids and they are on the cell phone doing business! :ROFLOL:

    Dancing at Disney?

Agreed...I was going to suggest Rix too. Here is a link to their website (note they are closed two nights a week): http://rix-lounge.com/

    September 2009 Roll Call

We've gone the last three years the first week of September. Due to DH's work schedule this year, we had to reserve September 19-30 this year with the bounceback. Unfortunately, due to a pay cut (third in three years) and the economy, we had to cancel the trip. But now we've been able to squeeze...
