Suggestions for off-day activities with a 4 yr old

You should look into activities at the fort wilderness campgrounds. They have a small playground, stables for cinderella's horses, pony rides. You can take a boat ride over from Magic Kingdom. Also fun to go play at the Lego store at Downtown Disney or rent some bikes at the Boardwalk or Port...

Taking a 6 month old to the "World"

We took our son @ 8 months and our daughter at 1 year. They both rode everything without a height restriction. Rider swap basically works as an instant fast pass. They give you a rider swap ticket. The first person waits in the regular line (unless you have fast passed). The second rider uses...

    Soarin' wait time

if a ride breaks down at a time your fast pass is good for, they will honor it later in the day. happened to us several times while there 2 weeks ago. they also issued fast passes to people who had waited in a long line just to have the ride break down before they were about to get on. they aim...

    home

Definitely had Disney withdrawals yesterday after returning from an amazing week. Tried to get some of the feeling back by pushing my big stroller around the neighborhood while sipping coffee from my resort mug...didn't work. Started planning next year's trip today!

What is your favorite thing about POR?

Our favorite resort as well. Love the walks through the bayou section and the sounds of the water wheel. Love the boat ride to Downtown. Love the create your own pasta at The Riverside Mill. Hope you love it there too!

MVMCP is it worth the extra cost?

We thought it was great! Snow on main street during the parade, hot cocoa, cookies, and light lines for rides. It was a great experience! I would do it again.

    40'' 3 1/2 year old

We are taking our 3 1/2yo in May. He's reached the 40" mark as well so will be able to experience many more rides than at his last visit. We've been talking about splash, BTM, and TT with him to prepare him a bit. We've also shown him some videos from this site as well as youtube of the rides so...

    Dining Suggestion?

Boatwright's is not a bad choice, especially for convenience staying at Port Orleans. However, Jiko's is wonderful! The filet mignon with Mac n' cheese is amazing! Best I've ever had. Request to sit at The Cooking Place where the apps and flatbreads are prepared. The cooks can help guide...

    What size stroller?

Ive seen all sizes of strollers on the busses. Anything goes as long as you can fold it up. You just keep it with you sitting or standing.

The Number One Coffee at WDW.

I would agree with the Kona coffee from Poly. You can get a full batch of yummy French press from the Kona Cafe or stop at Kona Island for a to go cup. Another good spot is the Royal Anandapur Tea Company at AK. Good for you and your wife!

    Resort Pools

The beach/yacht club pool does use a wristband system. Pool hopping is frowned upon as pools are meant for resort guests only.

Booked Port Orleans for 1st time

We love staying at Riverside! We've done the mansions and alligator bayou. We prefer the bayou because of all the vegetation. The mansion section is much more open. For dining I would also suggest the create your own pasta at the Riverside Mill. The boat ride to Downtown is convenient and very...

    The Most Awesome Hotel Entrance?

I truly love them all, as it is so exciting to finally arrive to the world! But if I had to chose, I would say akl is my favorite entrance. I was in awe the first time we walked in!

    Boma or sanna?

We've eaten at all 3 akl restaurants and don't think you can go wrong. Between Sanaa and Boma, I would chose Sanaa. You're getting signature dining food, quality, atmosphere, and service and just using 1 dining credit on your ddp.

    Walking from pofq to pors?

10-15 minute walk seems about right, just follow the river. You can also take the boat there and back.

    Packing & pre-trip purchase list

We love the mash-up food pouches. You can freeze them in the room so they're like a smoothie. Also, this way you can be sure they're getting in some fruits and veggies. Plus, they can be fun to eat! Old navy also has great Disney themed shirts for boys and girls at great prices!

(Parents) Best way to handle 7mo old while in line?

We just held our 8month old in lines, but we were able to take turns. I would look into the Ergo carriers. They are more expensive, but much more comfortable especially as babies get older/heavier. The weight is placed on your hips rather than shoulders (bjorn). The baby can be worn on your...
