Advice for an Upcoming First Time Trip

We are headed in mid May. Was curious, outside of Mansion and Splash, where are the other walls?

    No idea what I'm doing.....

First off, good tips by Flynnibus and Rob 562. Great choice with Royal Pacific and getting the unlimited express pass. You can walk or boat to the parks and CityWalk, which is a nice change from almost every Disney hotel. And you will pass through security at the end of your pathway to the...

Revenge of the Mummy extended refurbishment

Rehearsal seems to be going on longer than I would have thought.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

Indeed there are 3. If you never knew about them all, google maps is wonderful. All three entries/exits are shown and yellow street man can show you the way! The main "brick"entry actually splits to a "go right" or "go left" before merging back to the large opening at the crumbling bricks for...

    Carrying Out Drinks From Restaurants

What are the rules about ordering drinks from restaurant bars and carrying them out into the parks? Can you do a "to go" for say a Bailey's and coffee from Finnegan's bar?

City Walk Dining - Wait List with a Reservation

We are and that was the other thought. Get there early, put our name on the wait list (as a Royal Pacific guest) and hope we could get seated within a couple of hours. That would keep us from making the reservation for 6 but knowing we only have 5. I assume our resort key card is showed at...

City Walk Dining - Wait List with a Reservation

That was our first thought as well but didn't know if City Walk restaurants were part in the "all your party must be here before being seated" requirement.

City Walk Dining - Wait List with a Reservation

Well to make this a little more of a head scratcher, I've been checking the reservations website and if we were a party of 4 or 6 (we are 5), we could get nearly anytime we want.

City Walk Dining - Wait List with a Reservation

Does anybody have any experience on having a late reservation (nothing "prime time" was available) but coming much earlier and asking to be put on waiting list in lieu of our reservation? We currently have an 8:45 for Big Fire but would love to eat much earlier (say 6:00-7:00). What are the...

Advice/suggestions appreciated on a possible visit to Universal

Thank you, we are really looking forward to it. I can only speak of experience for two resorts. We've stayed at Hard Rock (3 times) and Royal Pacific (1 time). We really enjoyed both and loved the locations. Two completely different vibes as you can imagine. There are some options at each...

Advice/suggestions appreciated on a possible visit to Universal

Well I'm far from a authority on Universal but I'll give what info I can. There are others who have a wealth of knowledge and I hope they will respond as well. For our family, Universal appealed to my two boys as they got into their double digit ages. I feel like it caters a little better for...

Advice/suggestions appreciated on a possible visit to Universal

Some additional information to help with responses: 1. How old are the children? 2. When are you planning to go? 3. How many days are you planning for the parks? 4. Where are you planning to stay?

Revenge of the Mummy extended refurbishment

It's been several years since we've been to Uni but they used to have lockers outside in the plaza area. Does anybody know if they were removed with this refurbishment or were they removed prior to refurb? Or maybe they are coming back and just haven't been put back? Sure looks nice without...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Ticket prices are going up - "who cares, deal with it and move on" Resort prices are increasing - "who cares, deal with it and move on" Magical express is gone, you'll have to pay someone for that now - "who cares, deal with it and move on" Fastpasses are gone and now we charge for that - "who...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

And that's the problem, them not protecting their child isn't in any "point of the story" and it should be. It's okay to admit the restaurant and the couple might be in error here.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

You apparently aren't seeing the number of "help wanted" signs in your area as I'm seeing in mine. Every company in construction I know is looking for employees and a vast majority of those do not have 100 employees. It's the companies with over 100 employees that will be impacted. This will...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

All companies won't have to comply (those under 100 employees), so other employment would be available to them if they choose not get vaccinated. But this will hurt those businesses that lose said employees. Like I said, this is absolutely a problem for some businesses.
