Another cause of this is long exposure shots with a very slow shutter speed. My Sony camera warns about this in the manual and says this is normal for digital cameras.

I can confirm - I was there two weeks ago and I have video footage of one of the floats colliding with the perimeter wall. Just previously two of the floats hit each other. Initially one of the floats seemed to be going too fast which I think caused the sequence to mess up.

I saw one family (with kids) and the father had been stopped because a flick knife had been found in his bag. He was actually arguing that he should be allowed inside the park with it!!! They told him to either take it back to his car or else it would be consficated.
