On Buzz Lightyear if one of laser guns in the vehicle doesn't work they typically allow you to ride again, also they've just let us ride it multiple times when we asked. Probably depends on the CM and how busy it is. We also once received free FPs for Test Track because they shut it down due...

Agreed, it makes the experience a lot better and is one of the things that separates wdw from other parks but not having illuminations or wishes EVERY night wouldn't really take away from my experience. If they did away with all fireworks it would decrease the awesomeness a bit but definately...

I havn't heard anything but they usually put some sort of tribute, usually pretty subtle like the horizons logo in the middle of the big wheel in the Mission Space queue.

Yes for that long of a race anything too crazy for a warmup isn't great but definately some short runouts beforehand, stretching of course to stay loose, light jogging 20 mins before helps me be ready, gatorade is good too, I personally don't really drink other than running and working out but...
