    Back from Kidani Village!

This was our first stay at any of the DVC resorts, and we came away happy! We had a 1BR Villa at Kidani for a week. The wife and I loved the privacy of having our own bedroom and the master bath was HUGE. The kids loved sleeping on the sleeper sofa and being able to watch DVDs (Up) while we...

    AKV - Kidani village

We usually make a stop at Gooding's or Winn Dixie on the way in, so I'll be sure to stock up on soda, juice, snacks and eggs.....my 2 yr old requires "cramba'd eggs" for breakfast each morning. :D As for being remote from everything......I'm actually kind of excited about that fact. Kidani...

    Caribbean Beach vs Polynesian

I think it depends on what you're looking for. If you want eay access to MK and Epcot you have the monorail at the Poly....you also have access to the great restaurants at Contemp. and GF in additition to Kona Cafe and Ohana at the Poly. A well planned out room request could land you within...

    AKV - Kidani village

Just switched us from a "pirate" room at CBR to AK Villas - Kidani Village, 1 BR Villa. The pics I've seen online and the separate bedroom for the wife and I sold me on it....the kids are excited about the water-play area. Anyone stayed there and have any tips/suggestions/reviews? :shrug...

Random thoughts from last weeks trip.....

they weren't bad, with the exception of TSM..........90 minute stand by wait. FastPasses all gone by noon.........really ridiculous. DHS was crowded this past Saturday. But, hey......it WAS Saturday. I usually judge how busy it is by the wait for Peter Pan's Flight.......if it's...

Random thoughts from last weeks trip.....

Lodging: -FW cabin was great! Loved all of the activities there. Made for a full day without ever setting foot in the parks! -I don't know who I ticked off at WDW Reservations. Asked for a room in Tahiti at the Poly, to be close to the TTC. Instead, got room 3217 in Aotearoa.....for those of...

    Contemporary...Ick!

I've always loved the Contemporary........stayed there in a suite right after the remodel.....it was awesome. The place has a lot of nostalgia for me, as it reminds me of trips to WDW with my grandparents in the late 70's/early 80's. We never stayed there (they preferred the Poly), but I can...

    How to dress for mid-November?

Will be at WDW Nov 15-23........I can wear shorts year round, but my wife and kids get cole VERY quickly......we're talking high 60's and a breeze and they're freezing! Do you think it would be too hot during the day for pants? Shorts during the day and pants at night after nap and dinner...

Advice needed for staying at the Grand Floridian

I think if you're at the GF and have a "theme park view" room, my guess is you'll be in either Sago Cay or Conch Key (towards the end of the building). Those, I think, are the only 2 buildings to offer views of the MK. Have fun!
