Liquor Store walking distance from WDW?

We have always called at Hess for a few beers, wine and soft drinks in the past, saving around 60-70% on Disney prices. We haven't been since 2014 and I've heard it's not so easy to walk to now the road layout has changed, has anyone been since Downtown Disney became Disney Springs?

    Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace, as long as you're happy with the Pooh characters instead of Mickey and friends. The food, setting and service are better at CP and I love the early morning walk through empty MK.

    Crossroads

Well, yes, that would be a good option, but would be a whole Disney day gone!!

    Crossroads

BrerJon thank you very much for the helpful info, isn't there a Walmart close to Crossroads? Although a trip to the outlet mall does sound appealing..

What are your favorite Quick Service lunch spots?

I pretty much agree with the consensus here. MK : CHH or Cosmic Rays EPCOT: Sunshine Seasons or just about any of the WS locations HS: We don't often eat here AK: Yak & Yeti local cafe if anywhere - we tend to take a short bus trip to AKL DS: Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich RESORTS...

    Crossroads

Hi everyone Has anyone been to the Crossroads area near Disney Springs? We'll probably be staying at Saratoga Springs, is it worth the walk/taxi ride for Brits who enjoy seeing some of the US outside of WDW but dont want to miss too much Disney time? We even love the Hess store, it doesn't...

Would you go out of your way to eat a CS meal at a Resort?

We stayed at OKW last year which is desperately lacking in the CS department and tried many other resorts. We always make a point of visiting Mara at AKL and also love Roaring Forks at WL - new discoveries include Contempo Cafe and Riverisde Mill at POR, I loved their design your own pasta.

    Your Favourite Waffle At WDW..

I haven't tried the Sleepy Hollow ones as they look so huge, but I love the waffles with strawberries and cream at Roaring Forks.

    TS or CS at WDW.?..

No decision there Hatter, AK is such a lovely resort, good restaurants and such a beautiful setting. Remember you can use a TS for breakfast and free up the rest of the day. The day we did that this year we had an ADR for Crystal Palace breakfast, ice cream cookie sandwich for lunch (snack) and...

Be Our Guest still having long lunch lines?

It was one of our favourite dinners of our trip this year. We didn't try lunch due to the lines - over the bridge by 10am -but I think we will next year as it seems so popular and everyone says the lines move quickly.

    ADRS in October...

We'll be there'd same time as you. We will be making Reservations in April but will change them many times before we leave. If you don't book them you do run the risk of finding everywhere booked but of course you can use TS credits at CS places. I would think you'd find somewhere, but may be DD...

Show us your MNSSHP costumes!! (and MNSSHP Pics!)

As we fly from UK we have a limited baggage allowance, it will take careful planning. I think we'll have to do something though!

Show us your MNSSHP costumes!! (and MNSSHP Pics!)

We have never been to MNSSHP but are planning to go next year. I knew children dressed up, but I'm surprised to see so many adults joining in the fun. I must admit, it hadn't occurred to me but now I'm thinking maybe we should. I wouldn't like to think I was missing out on the fun. What...

    Best Signature Dining

My favourite is California Grill, runner up Flying Fish. The food is similar quality but the view from CG gives it the top place for me.

    National Rum Day..

Yak Attack has to be my favourite, and I also enjoyed the wildberry mango rum lemonade and of course rum runners. I wasn't keen on the Backscratcher, the one I had had a VERY strong whiskey taste so I swapped with my daughter for a pink drink?? I really must try a lapu lapu one day.

Help me to deal with this!!!

What a shame - but for the best of reasons. The employment situation being what it is, your husband has done very well, and just think, in November your trip would be all done but you'll still have it all to look forward to. I can well understand your disappointment but at least it isn't lost...

    Wilderness Lodge thoughts...

It's my favourite resort for all of the above reasons. The CMs are really friendly too and I love that if it rains you can get to all the facilities - restaurants, bar, shop - without arriving like a drowned rat. Transport is good, we've never had to stand on a bus and the boat option to mk is...
