    Cheapest magic hours?

Ah! I didn't know that things were closed during EMH. I saw the disclosure on their website, but nothing about shops being close, as thats what we'd be going for. Thanks for the heads up!

    Cheapest magic hours?

We were looking at doing Epcot on a Wednesday, which if I remember right the regular hours are till 9pm that day. EMH brings it to 12am. We enjoy the night life more, so going around Epcot till 12 sounds kind of fun. We're not willing to stay at the value hotel, which is why we've already...

    Cheapest magic hours?

We already have a hotel booked elsewhere, however we want to take advantage of Epcots extended hours during our upcoming trip. We're prepared to book another hotel for the day just to get perk. If we check-in on the 10th and check-out on the 11th, is the perk valid on both days? Are there...

    Why bother?

I've compared package prices between a standard booking and an identical honeymoon booking, the honeymoon package is much more expensive. However, I cannot get a single answer as to why. Essentially, I am told there is nothing more to a honeymoon package other than staff being notified ahead of...

    MNSSHP, general admission confusion...

The official site and phone support suggest a general admission ticket is required along with the MNSSHP ticket. I don't remember this being the case last year and in fact I have several reviews this year saying you can enter the park at 4pm with your MNSSHP ticket. Well, of course you can...

Not so scary halloween party question

I know you have to purchase a separate ticket to get into the event but it doesnt say an additional main ticket. Do you have to buy a main park ticket if you are only going for the special event? Thanks

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

A lot of great information. We are going to buy annual passes and go down for a single night to test out one of the Disney resort hotels. We might also drive around and look at the other resorts as well as check out Caribe Royal Orlando.

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

Well said, I like to shop around too so I don't mind finding the deal. I guess that is why I am so critical of my choice between on-site and off. The only thing I have to ask is ... how did you get $99 at Gaylord? Everything I am seeing is $200+ atm. The Caribe Royal is $133 at some sites but...

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

While I totally respect each saying, it's not so much me wanting to cheap out as it is actually get the best bang for my buck. Going expensive doesn't always mean getting the best. Best example, paying for a name brand. Get an iPod just to get an iPod or be trendy...or get something else for a...

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

Don't want to put the miles on my car, it's not in the best shape honestly. Besides, between renting on my credit card and my local insurance ... if anything happens to the car I am covered. Besides, our car isn't exactly like 15 years old and it's nice to get in a newer/tricked out car for a...

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

Wow, it completely slipped my mind to look for Florida resident discounts. Unfortunately for rooms, their resident discount calendar seems to only extend through June. We don't need to make any purchases before that time and it gives us an opportunity to figure out what we want.

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

Oh, ok. Maybe that's why I wasn't seeing anything about it. We are going from October 9th - 19th. We are probably looking too far ahead for good deals anyways.

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

First ... free dining? Have not heard about this (yes I have been under a rock). We are renting a car because we plan on going to other parks as well. Mainly, we want to go to HHN if nothing else. Plus we have some friends in the area we wanted to visit. Being such a long trip, we planned for...

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

I guess our problem, with budgeting and justification, may be that we have never stayed on property. Honestly, all we have to go on is to compare price and amenities. So based on those two things, outside hotels are more of a value in our minds. Accept for the perks mentioned earlier in this...

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

We are going to Orlando for 10 days in October of this year. Most of the time will be spent in the parks, however, a couple days we will be enjoying the hotel and life outside the parks (wave runners, horseback riding, evening shows). For pricing and amenities, we were looking at the Caribe...

    Caribe Royal Orlando any good?

Thank you very much for that info. :)

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

Yes, it just seems like a lot to pay for total immersion. Budgeting is tight right now, especially in our economy. I just just having trouble justifying a $4000+ premium for immersion, extra magic hours and transportation. Thanks for the help! :)

    Caribe Royal Orlando any good?

Ouch, not familiar with the Orlando area. This hotel is near our hotel from last time but is this generally an "iffy" area of town?

Why the high prices for Disney resorts?

Spoken like a true cheap skate I am sure ... Besides transportation and sending purchases back to your room, why the extremely high prices to stay at Disney resorts? We were looking at staying seven days at either the Contemporary or Polynesian this year but never realized the price per night...
