    A length of trip question...

Me and my wife both get 29 days a year, plus if you work up your hours you could theoretically get an extra 2 days a month as flexi-leave, so maximum you could actually get 53 days a year. Woo hoo for working in the UK... often thought i'd like to move to the US but couldn't cope with the lack...

A Question, Mainly For Those From The UK

Virgin only price match on EXACTLY the same holiday and as a lot of other companies fly into Sanford that rules out the majority. I tried to get them to match TravelCity Direct who are generally a lot cheaper and they just said 'no'. We own them and we don't price match with a subsidiary...

Food / Restaurant report from recent 2 week trip

We visit generally every 2 years from the UK for a 2 week period and thought I'd post some thoughts on the food experience and the highs and lows. Some things have changed for the worse since our last trip, most notably the quality of fish and chips at numerous locations. Firstly the...

    Booking from UK

we've booked through Travel City Direct who are now owned by Virgin anyway. So you travel on a Virgin flight and the only perk we didn't get was Downtown Disney check-in included...but you can just turn up and pay for that privilege anyway. The big difference is the price as it was at much...

Do you ever plan a non-park day on your trips?

coming from the UK for 2 weeks means that you have to have some non-park days otherwise you burn yourself out. we usually pop out to the florida mall and outlets as everying thing is so cheap in the usa so we can fill up our empty suitcases with bargains....:D we also have non-disney park days...

Best way from Disney to Universal/Sea World without a car

Every time we come over from the UK we hire a car so we can visit other off-site attractions such as Universal, Busch Gardens, etc. Friends of mine are visiting in a couple of weeks and staying for 2 weeks in POR. The cost of a car with insurance was quite expensive as they are under 25 so they...

Help for some first time water parkers!

When we visit Disney we tend to stay for 2 weeks. As we have plenty of time we often visit a water park in the morning and then go to one of the parks from mid-afternoon. It's quite relaxing and doesn't get you as tired compared to a full day in the park. Last time we went to both BB and TL...

Only a year and a half away from Harry Potter Land and still nothing from Disney!

With reference to international visitors, the addition of Harry Potter land could actually increase visitors to Disney, as many Brits, who may or may not have been to Orlando will be persuaded to go (back) on the back of HP. If this is the case, many of the families will actually spend more time...

Passing on praise about cast members to Disney. Is there a contact email address?

I hope someone can help. I feel praise should be given when cast members just give that little bit extra or just make you feel special. I would like to email Disney and let them know about a cast member working in Epcot who I felt was a credit to the company. Any suggestions for an email...

Advice for UK Visitors (Don't wear tops at Disney)

This was the first new thread I have created and Wow what a response. I felt I could add a bit more and comment on some of the replies posted. I fully accept that Disney have a right to refuse entrance to people wearing what they deem to be inappropriate clothing and in retrospect I should have...

Advice for UK Visitors (Don't wear tops at Disney)

Just a warning to visitors, especially UK visitors. Do not try to wear any clothing by with logo's on (French Connection UK) to Disney Parks as they do not like it and may refuse you entry. I don't mean only the t-shirts with the big logo's emblazened on the front. I was wearing a collared...

Calling all Brits - Book with UK or US Travelagents?

We have been with Virgin 3 times (booked on internet as you get a discount) and they have been excellent. This time for September (2 weeks:sohappy: ) we have booked through Going Places (online again) as they were incredibly cheap. £1200 for 2 people at Pop Century, which was £600 cheaper than...

What Ride Is The Most Disappointing...

Further top tip: Don't post sarcastic comments when someone is expressing an opinion. Unlike the majority of people, myself and family found Soarin' to be a let down and were expecting something incredible....This does not mean that you or anyone else will not enjoy it...it is simply our...
