    Panama Canal Cruise

My sister and I are planning on doing the Panama Canal cruise next year. We have questions regarding formal dining nights. How many formal nights do they normally do on a 14 day cruise? Any special tips for this cruise? Thanks!!

    Special surprises

Bringing 5 first timers in February. My sister and I have been several times, but not since Covid changes. What might be some special things we could do, because I'm sure at least 2 will never come again. We want to really "wow" them.

    Planning an Alaskan cruise

Thank you. I'm just now really looking into it, so I'm just now seeing that there are certain months for the cruise. I know there are certain things dad wants to do, so I'm reading up on different things.

    Planning an Alaskan cruise

My sister and I have cruised on the Disney Dream to the Bahamas. Dad wants to see Alaska and we think the cruise would be a great way to do it. I have a questionthough: when would be the best time of year to go? I’m researching to get as much info as I can. Thanks!!

    Valentine Surprise!

He better have learned something!! It's funny because he marked on the calendar on his phone when their first date was so that he would always remember it. Their first date anniversary was this past December and he did very well for it too. He knows it's important to keep the women in his life...

    Valentine Surprise!

My family just got back from WDW. My son, 19, had definite ideas about what to get his girlfriend for Valentine's Day. He searched for that "perfect" gift. After searching all week, he picked up several Lady & the Tramp gifts. Instead of taking her to a crowded restaurant he had me & his...

Too Cheap to do that at WDW

DiveQuest and Cirque de Soleil. Those are 2 things we have wanted to do for a long time now, but no way can we pay for us to do them. And now they've raised the price of Cirque even higher.

Most incredible thing you've heard when dealing with a Disney newbee.

OMG!! I would be so furious with my travel agent!! I had heard of a problem a co-worker had with their agent, so that's why I book everything myself! I am too paranoid to depend on others when this much money is involved!

Most incredible thing you've heard when dealing with a Disney newbee.

That's the most common thing I get. They think there is only 1 park - Magic Kingdom that they call DisneyWorld. One woman was complaining about not seeing where Fantasmic was. I was telling her about where it was. She asked was that near the castle? I said no, that's MK. Fantasmic is at DHS...

You know you are crazy when....

I'm also that way. My calendar is already marked, itinerary already planned out & then some. We are doing the cruise in May 2013 followed by 5 days at WDW. We are using our DVC for our WDW stay, we just have to wait for our booking window. But the trip is planned!!!

So hard to keep the secret!!

Along the same line, I made a slide show of some of my Disney photos. I added different captions to each photo, & added music. Then at the end, we put a caption that announced that the kids were going to WDW. It was a blast to make, and the kids loved it. However, we did not get to take them...

Is it just me, or are the Be Our Guest menus NOT appealing at all?

My family wasn't too thrilled with it either. We are not fancy eaters, but would like something other than burgers or pizza or chicken nuggets. Something in between. I was really wanting to eat here, but maybe the menu will evolve a little.

So hard to keep the secret!!

We surprised my mom & stepdad one year with a trip to WDW. It was at their anniversary dinner. We planned out a game similar to Hangman. We got an older niece & nephew to play against them. They were sort of in on it. They didn't know what the prize was, but they knew they were going to...

    The Smells of Disney

100% Rome Burning in SE. My dad was a fireman for almost 30 years. When we went to WDW for the first time & smelled that, it brought back so many memories of what he smelled like when he came home from a fire. Now my son is a fireman, & every time he comes back from a fire, I smell him, and...

Has Disney ever lost your dining reservations?

Last year, we had ressies at Liberty Tree for lunch. When we got to the podium & gave our name, she couldn't find it. I had the print out of our confirmation, & she still couldn't find it. There were no tables available & an hour to wait. I asked if they could get us somewhere else & she started...
