    Unpopular opinions about the parks?

I agree with most being 50s-2000s, except the new people in charge of WDW do not maintain parks or attractions as they did between the 50s and 2000s. I just got back from my last trip a few weeks ago, and the number of attractions in all 4 parks where effects and major parts of attractions were...

Wait Times Not Working on My Disney Experience App 6/26/23

Anyone know if this happens alot or how long it usually takes to fix?

Animal Kingdom - As of June 25

Thank you. For the life of me, I don't understand why they removed Primeval Whirl to leave an ugly, fenced in, waste of space on top of taking away an attraction from a park already lacking in attractions

Animal Kingdom - As of June 25

Good evening, Fellow Disney Fanatics, My family and I spent our day at Animal Kingdom today. Was there for rope drop and left with an hour before closing. We had a great time, but I must report that Disney is really allowing Animal Kingdom to fall apart. Pandora was amazing. Everything appeared...

    Ohana Tonight

Evening, all, The family and I are on our first WDW trip in a couple of years, and we ventured over to Ohana this evening for dinner. There has been so much said about Ohana of late, most of this highly critical in regards to pricing, absence of skewers being brought to the tables, etc. I want...

'Disneyland feels classist now' - article LA Times

Hey. It's their money. I'm not saying everyone should believe what I do, but when you step back you do realize Disney is just milking people for every extra dollar as long as they're willing to pay for it

'Disneyland feels classist now' - article LA Times

Exactly, and then having to plan every flipping minute of my day just blows, on top of WDW is more than expensive enough. I'll proudly stand in line before I pay extra to go faster through a line I've already paid to go through

'Disneyland feels classist now' - article LA Times

Been saying this for 20 years. Now with the more than one day cost for the new nightime experiences, horrendously priced "dessert parties" for fireworks, genie, genie plus, genie plus plus, genie plus cubed, and lightning lanes.... it's flipping ridiculous.

I think “The Magic” is mostly gone for me…

For years, folks like us have been flamed on these forums. I can go back as far as 2003 when people really started verbalizing the noticeable decline in quality, obscene increase in pricing along with the reduction in offerings with the price increases. Some of us even started, 20 years ago...

    Disney After Hours was great!

I was one who complained about the parking, paid but still complained. This is something you choose to do, and I see value in it. No problem here, unless you're shorting daily paying guests to offer the opportunity. This should, and it may be because I know little about it, be offered after...

    not sure

Once saw Michael Strahan filming for, at that time, Michael and Kelly at Be Our Guest. Then, my wife saw Brian Austin-Green from Beverly Hills 90210 (big deal for her, I was riding Test Track with the little one.)

Pay more, get less. When does it end?

Yeah, makes no sense to me, but in the current corporate climate, who could have forseen Fox selling to Disney? Seems the modern corporate world is a game of trades and acquisitions for restructuring of debt and liabilities. Who knows? I know it's and extreme example and will probably not...

Pay more, get less. When does it end?

I agree with everything you said; however, I do not think price increases are meant to curb attendance. Like someone posted on the parking thread, I think the continual price increases is Disney testing its limits with its customers.

Pay more, get less. When does it end?

You're right, but if profits dip for too many consecutive years, they'll either A.) Raise prices on some experiences and create more premium exclusive experiences, all the while pushing the once in a lifetime trip idea, or B.) Seek out a buyer for parks and resorts which they threatened to do...

    Hate for childless Disney fans

There is absolutely nothing wrong with childless folks going to and enjoying WDW. I may be in error, here, but I would imagine the majority of criticism for childless people going to WDW would be from non-Disney fans. Before my wife and I had kids, we were constantly criticized for going to WDW...

Have you ridden Big Thunder Mountain lately?

Oh, but when that train engages with the chain lift and that chain lift catches, the jolt can sometimes give you a sharp pain in the back. Usually happens on the outside lifthill. Ouch! Love BTMRR, but I can do without that jolt.

    Muppet Vision Location?

Thanks. I would not want an entire Star Wars Park, but there are ways of transitioning gently from land to land. Muppet Vision area straight into Galaxy's Edge is, unless the transition will exist in the entrance, a bit drastic.

Late Night Meltdown at Casey's Corner

Yes, and the widespread proliferation of morons everywhere. This is the reality TV generation, narcissism everywhere you look. Their convenience and comfort is more important than anyone around. They know that if they act like a donkey, because of the crowd and busy time period, it's easier to...
