    Tokyo - Hints and Tips

Hi. We went to Tokyo in September. We stayed at the Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku. While we were there, we went Senso-ji in Asakusa, took a Sumida River cruise from Asakusa to Odaiba, checked out the shopping malls in Odaiba, went to Meiji Jingu, and went to the Imperial Palace East Gardens. We...

    Disneyland or DisneySea?

DH = dear/darling husband DS = dear/darling son Corrus- Your post has nothing to do with my question. Seriously, if you can't recommend a park, you shouldn't have posted!

    Disneyland or DisneySea?

DH, DS, and I are going to Tokyo in September. Because of plans to sightsee in and around Tokyo and to attend the Tokyo Game Show, we can only devote 1 day to Disney. Which park would you recommend, Disneyland or Disney Sea, keeping in mind DS will be 22-months-old at the time of our trip? TIA...

DL for our son's 1st birthday?

Since you don't know me, I would appreciate it if would not make a statement like that about me. May be that's why YOU are going, but that's not why I'd be going. If I was going for ME, we would pick a different day and find a sitter so that we could actually ride the rides we like together...

    Tampa Airport to Disney

Get a rental car. Tampa is way too far to be taking a cab to WDW. You're looking at almost an hour's drive from Tampa to WDW. Trust me...we use to live 2 minutes from TIA, and a rental would be more cost effective plus you'd have the car if you wanted to go somewhere outside WDW (i.e...

DL for our son's 1st birthday?

Our son turns 1 in December, and we're considering taking him to DL on his birthday. Are there any attractions that we could take him? Or should we wait until he's a little older? Thanks.

    Mission: Space tragedy

I totally agree with you. My husband and I love thrill rides like M:S, but we will NEVER consider allowing our son to ride them when he's 4 y/o. Of course, the only theme parks we're considering taking him to when he's 4 is Legoland in CA or Sesame Place in PA - theme parks that actually geared...

    Sounds Dangerous at MGM

My husband and I have only done Sounds Dangerous once. And will never do it again. It was totally boring and complete waste of time. The only good thing I can say about it is it gets you out of the heat for a short period of time.

    We're having a baby :)

Congrats! Our 1st is due about a week before Thanksgiving. We're so excited. When we were at WDW last week, we only bought stuff for the baby.

Really dumb question (shopping in WDW)

When you purchase the stuff, tell the cast member you want to ship it home. They will give you a form to fill out and will add the cost of shipping to the purchase and deduct the sales tax since it's going out of state. Your purchase will probably be shipped UPS.

    The Official Hurricane Frances thread...

Hi, everybody! Just checking in. My husband and I rode out Frances here at home in Tampa. We were lucky - no damage and no flooding here. Can't say that same about other parts of Tampa. We did lose power around 3pm Sunday, and we just got it back about 2 hours ago. Anyway, I need to get some...

    Microwaves?

Thanks you. I think I might call them. If not, I guess we can just take ours with us.

    Microwaves?

Does anyone know if there are any microwaves in the Food Courts at the All-Star Resorts? I can't seem to remember if there are.

How many of you married people

Honeymooned at WDW 6 months after our wedding My husband and I were married June 23, 2001. But we waited to go on our honeymoon until December - for two reasons: less crowded and cooler weather. We had a great time. We stayed at WL and had the Deluxe Magic vacation package (which is no...

I love this book. We bought ours specifically for our last trip. It provided good entertainment while waiting in line.
