Does Computer Central still function and exist at Epcot?

I used to work for Artel Video Systems at one point in time We sold a bunch of these contact closure over fiber units to them at one point for use in Illuminations https://www.artel.com/media-transport-products/bidirectional-3g-hd-sd-sdi-audio-data-ethernet-and-contact-closure-over-fiber/ I...

    Tampa??

Years ago (when DME was still a thing) I used to fly into Tampa quite often for work. I would have 2 - 3 days of meetings in Tampa. I would instead fly into MCO (for me, it was usually around the same price, and often a much better schedule), rent a car, and drive to Tampa for my business...

    Dynamic pricing at Starbucks?

Starbucks still as overall control over the franchise. My daughter used to work at a Target Starbucks during college. Target sort of runs things, but every so often a Starbucks person comes around to check on things.

    Dynamic pricing at Starbucks?

Starbucks is not for coffee. Starbucks is for coffee drinks (and non-coffee drinks). Very few people go to Starbucks and order a coffee. I am one of those few. Why? Because while we have free coffee in our building, it is HORRENDOUS. We also have a Starbucks in our HQ (as well as a Dunkin)...

    Imagineers and Social Media

In my experience in engineering, not Imagineering, as well as in product development, customer feedback is very important, but very rarely is there an "oh my god, that is such an awesome idea, how did we not even think of it" moment. Also, people who are not plugged into the process are very...

Help Locating Leave a Legacy Tile

That is how I got mine (well my kids technically). I was some kind of "choose one of three things as a free gift" promotion. I think it was the tiles, DisneyQuest, and something else. They are not hard to find, and we do go look at them whenever we are in Epcot,

Pirates of the Caribbean vs Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

It was not a one and done, I still ride it. But, the first time I rode it, after waiting in a 45 minute queue, my reaction was "that's it?"

Grand Mariner orange slush in Epcot?

I would say that any place that can make a frozen margarita from scratch (with a blender, not from a frozen drink dispenser) can make one. Ice, sour mix, vodka, and orange liquor (use Grey Goose and Grand Marnier) if you want to use the ones that they use, and you should be pretty close.

Hollywood Brown Derby vs Sci-Fi Dine In Theater

Sci-Fi was a 2 or 3 and done for me. - OK, it is a drive in. That was interesting for about 30 min (about as long as the movie reel lasts). Run of the mill burgers and such. I know it is part of the theme, but I like to see my food when I eat (I have the same issue with San Angel as well. Dim...

WDW Food Pictures Of The Day Part II

I would hazard to say you get more shrimp for a $14 cocktail at a seafood restaurant. More and larger. Not to mention that I am also getting waiter service, a table, etc. Disney is really getting out of control with the food prices at the kiosks. I paid $6.99 / lb for unpeeled raw 21/25's for...

    Fish and chips @ Epcot

My wife is like that too. Supertasters are a real thing - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supertaster#:~:text=A%20supertaster%20is%20a%20person,having%20an%20elevated%20taste%20response. My wife particularly does not like sweet foods. Many desserts are off putting to her because they are too...

    Fish and chips @ Epcot

They are part of the cichlid family - which ranges far and wide from small aquarium fish to larger fish such as tilapia. Tilapia are not the same as white fish. It is a matter of taste as to if you like it or not. I find tilapia to be OK. Nothing to write home about so to speak, but I will eat...

    Fish and chips @ Epcot

I have heard that it varies on market conditions and what is available. The type of fish used may vary day to day, including Cod, haddock, hake, tilapia, and catfish. Cod and haddock are traditional, but cod is getting scarce and expensive. Hake is first cousin to Cod or Haddock. Tilapia is...

    Best Restaurant in DS?

Again, best is subjective. Very subjective. Especially where some places lack in food but have good atmosphere, as well as the other way around. For me: Boathouse Second Place: Homecomin' with the caveat that it is hardly fine dining. It is good food, really good, but hardly a fine dining...

‘Ohana - What am I missing?

I think that is it. It has been on a slide for a while now. It is starting to really loose the cache it used to have with people. We are in the same mindset as you. It used to be something we actively tried to book. It is no longer even an option for us.

    Private sale?

Ah, I see A Title Company does what I said - Research of clear title and title insurance. (I know a few title agents, one of whom owned her own agency). DVC Title and Escrow is more than a Title agency despite what they may have in there name. They do a lot more than an regular title agency...
