    MK Guest Pick-Up/Drop-Off Location? Accessibility?

What a detailed answer. That's exactly what I needed to know, thank you. I feel better knowing this in advance, because I have to give directions on where to meet me! Thanks again, Rob. Folks like you who take time to give such clear answers are the reason I come to this site for information...

    MK Guest Pick-Up/Drop-Off Location? Accessibility?

I have been to MK more times than I can count, but normally I actually *go* to the park, so I never had this question come up... and looking at aerial maps isn't helping me figure it out! Where is the designated guest pick-up/drop-off for MK? I need to pick up someone who is wheelchair-bound...

I hate the Free Dining Plan

I think a lot of the problem is that there are a certain percentage of people who understand how to "work the system" and plan. If you're reading this post, you're one of them. :) It's a smaller percentage than those of us who are know better sometimes realize. The remainder of visitors to the...

Art of Disney - Artist Name?

Brilliant. That's why I love this board. Most knowledgeable folks on the internet. :) That site actually has the picture I saw over the weekend... "Bittersweet Embrace". Now to convince myself I need to budget for it!

Art of Disney - Artist Name?

I was at Art of Disney in Magic Kingdom over the weekend and saw a print-on-canvas I really liked. I wrote down what I thought the artist's signature spelled out, but web searches tell me I probably mis-transcribed. The painting-on-canvas of a very dark Beast, tear coming from his eye...

"Love in a Rollercoaster" - available?

I did a couple unsuccessful searches for information on this, so I thought I'd post and see if anyone here can answer. Are the Aerosmith mixes used on the Rock 'n Rollercoaster available anywhere? I'm specifically looking for the "Love in a Rollercoaster" mix that I think is was a track laid...

    SeaWorld announces new rides

I was at SeaWorld for a while yesterday, and the new ride construction is underway. I didn't have a camera with me (good thing, since the rain caught me unaware!), but the top of the carousel is visible. It's blue-green, with a huge, pink octopus on it. Very cute.

    SeaWorld announces new rides

I know someone who has seen the Sesame Street show, so it's up and running. I think some of the rides are up, but at least one is still incoming. You could see large, red, crab-shaped objects (part of a ride, I assume) behind Journey to Atlantis from International Drive yesterday.

Mickey in the water at The Seas?

I saw scuba Mickey last November. He was doing a special appearance for a filming with a family for Extreme Makeover Home Edition. He doesn't do regular appearances and is usually in the water only when booked for special events. Check with guest relations, though. Maybe you'll get lucky and...

Is it ever too cold to go to the water parks???

Generally, Orlando gets its coldest days in January and February. If it is cold enough (with highs in the lower 50s, for example), they will choose not to open the water park that day (during the winter, they rotate which is open and which is under rehab). The cost to operate the whole park...

    Sea World Auditions...

The folks you see at Shamu stadium generally worked their way up from other areas at SeaWorld. It isn't unusual to see someone start in the Education department, transfer to animal care, then eventually make it to animal training. Even animal trainers get moved from location to location, so...

    Spaceship Earth minor Update

Is there still duct tape over the dent on the exterior wall where you exit? I got quite a chuckle out of it last week because later in the day, they had a CM stationed in front of the unsightly duct tape, and I assumed there was a VIP somewhere in the area who wasn't supposed to see the "owie"...

    MK perimeter fireworks

I think the only time they are being used now is for the July 4 (and 3) and December 31 (and 30) fireworks. If Boo is around, I'm sure he'll straighten me out if I am incorrect!

Has anyone ever been walking and noticed characters....

Chip and Dale were just inside the International Gateway today, and everyone seemed focused on Dale. Chip had no one to talk to, and was actually stalking up behind a woman pushing a stroller when he was distracted. That poor woman would have been quite startled if she had glanced behind her and...

    SeaWorld announces new rides

I hope not. I enjoy that show more than I do Blue Horizons. Maybe they will put it at Bayside Stadium. Fusion is kind of directionless, and it has never been a huge hit with the guests. And Mr. Busch would prefer that there be something in that venue full time, not just seasonally.

    Dinner shows outside WDW

Best food: Luau at SeaWorld. Surprisingly,we didn't need tickets the night I went, but it was a night that the park was closing at about dinnertime... might be different midsummer). Most entertaining show: Pirates Dinner Adventure. I was really surprised how good this was. My only complaint...

    Odyssey OPEN to regular guests!

I have seen private events going on there pretty regularly. My favorite thing about private events there is that it usually means that the (very nice) bathrooms are accessible, with no waiting! But seriously, I have never been inside the building beyond the bathrooms, and I'm curious to see...

Alert: Avoid WDW This Weekend; Other Updates

According to http://www.occc.net/, the convention center is hosting the US Open of Taekwondo Thursday-Sunday. I'm not sure how much that will boost Attendance this week, but some businesses near the convention center are getting traffic warnings similar to those for the Home Builders Show. I...

Testing Space Mountain's track for faults

Kraken, at SeaWorld Orlando, is also a muffled B&M. SeaWorld had problems with the way that noise carried from Journey to Atlantis into the adjacent neighborhood. It allows The park to operate the coaster longer hours than they would be able to if they let it roar.

    Illuminations or Fireworks Cruise

They use a number of boats for the Illuminations cruise (5, I think). I know that they have had some pretty expensive problems with Breathless, the wooden runabout, and that may be what you heard about. Looks like it may be replaced by another wooden boat. I posted about the possible replacement...
