    Longest Trip Report...EVER

I admit the first day didn't go well at all, but the rest of the trip was fantastic! I'd go again in a second!

    Longest Trip Report...EVER

Hey everybody, if you're interested in reading about my March 19th-25th WDW trip in overly gory detail, here's the link! Enjoy! If you don't want to spend all that time reading it, there's at least some cool pics I took!

    Was I Dreaming This?

Maybe I totally fabricated this in my mind, but perhaps somebody else can back me up here. When I went to EPCOT Center in 1989, I distinctly remember my aunt making reservations for somewhere in World Showcase over a video phone either near or possibly under Spaceship Earth. I swear I saw a...

    New Seasonal Attractions

I definitely wouldn't mind a bit of an overhaul as long as the overall theme isn't entirely changed. According to this site, in 1999, the rumor was it would be turned into a Donald Duck ONLY theme, if that were true, there would be reason for some outrage.

    COP in April

It was open in late April 2004 if that helps. It's pretty unlikely that it wouldn't be open considering the mass amounts of people that will surely be there during that time.

    New Seasonal Attractions

You're right, it's a very cult classic ride. I still don't understand it and I've been on it at least 20 times. I believe the reason it'll never be shut down besides the low operating overhead is you have to consider that the Mexico pavilion itself isn't going anywhere any time soon. Plenty...

    New Seasonal Attractions

Why El Rio del Tempo? I see the laughy face, but come on, there's already not many attractions in the World Showcase, and it's a really enjoyable ride. I don't understand the rationale of making UoE seasonal when it's supposedly getting decommissioned fairly soon. There seems to be little...

    Best Time to visit?

Last year we went during mid March and it wasn't too bad, decent sized crowds but very few crazy waits, except at Peter Pan, I have no idea why that line takes so long! In 2004, we went in mid April, those were by far the worst crowds I have ever seen, plus it was just starting to get...

Cab from MCO to WDW question

I've used Quicksilver twice already and am using them again this time! You can get a towncar for 4 for between $50-$60 for one way or around $100 round trip. Usually we use them for a round trip, but with the Magical Express, we're just taking them for the way in because they give you a free...

Rent DVC or Just Book as normal?

We actually had a one bedroom at OKW rented for us by my in laws who are in DVC so we really didn't have to do anything ourselves, thus I really can't help you in that department. Amazingly, the following year we had the studio that connected to the one bedroom we had stayed in the previous...

    Liberty Tree Tavern

I definitely understand about being strapped for cash in college! It's crazy how expensive it gets to go to WDW, especially if you have to fly. Hopefully you don't go too far outside your budget, we generally are able to stay within our's. I assume for 2 of us that we'll spend about $100 a...

    Liberty Tree Tavern

I found this on mousesavers.com Most of Walt Disney World is in Orange County, where the sales tax rate is 6.5% and the hotel tax rate works out to 11.5% (6.5% sales tax + 5% resort tax). However, Disney's All Star Resorts are in Osceola County, where the sales tax rate is 7% and the resort...

Rent DVC or Just Book as normal?

I'd take the 2 bedroom villa, you get way more space overall and you won't have to worry about the separate rooms not being near each other, also having real appliances and a full sized fridge is great. We ended up coming back for lunch from time to time and one night we made a lasagna, good times!

    Liberty Tree Tavern

I could have sworn sales tax in Florida is 6%, so it'll come out to more like $70. Honestly, you're going to pay through the nose no matter what you do if you want a sit down experience with characters. If you really want to be worrying about how much cash you want to spend, WDW isn't the...

    Spur of the moment trip??

I'd say you should definitely do this! Some of my favorite times in Disney have been when I've gone off and done my own thing for a few hours while everybody else wanted to relax at the hotel or do some shopping. I'm not sure that it would be fun for say, 3 or 4 days of being alone, but at...

That's definitely her, Erin Cahill! The new show, called Free Ride, premiers tonight at 9:30 after American Idol, I'll be watching for sure! She also has a site www.erincahill.com. It turns out she was the pink Power Ranger at some point and was in a movie called Jekyll that I can't seem to...
