We stayed at 44 in Jamaica last December so if you get this one you should be okay.

We stayed at CBR this past December at the Jamaica village. No complaints. Close to bus stop, first stop when picking up and first stop when returning to hotel from parks. Short walk to Old Port Royale (food court and shop) and very quiet sorroundings in a nice environment close to the lake...

Definitely best spot to view the parade from. I have a video of the MJJP right from that spot and it offers a very good perspective from there.

If you google the All Star Sports, I believe the lake the OP is talking about is between the basketball and tennis court buildings. There's even a walkway that runs parallel to the lake. There is indeed another lake just beyond a parking lot but the one the OP is talking about looks like it...
