Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

I do like the idea of the track not being lit. It'll make it look themed at night which is my biggest issue with this coaster. Makes me wonder why they wouldn't paint the tracks black and navy/purple to hide them more.

Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure vs Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

I know I'm probably in the minority but I think Gringott's is so lackluster. The ride pacing is so disjointed. It's a coaster section to move you in front of a screen...and then onto another screen. What payoff? It just ends. No real climax at all. The queue is amazing...but "amazing"...

    Kong - skipping outside portion

Completely agree. Hagrid's (IMO) is a much better attraction than Velocicoaster but when comparing Velocicoaster to TRON (closest competitor), it's not even a competition. Post launch, Tron is boring and a really lackluster coaster.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

That better be some show scene because even for a kiddie coaster this looks extremely dull.

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Yeah...that would be like building a Star Wars Land and making it so you can't have Darth Vader in it.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

I would've liked a family dark ride along the lines of the Great Movie Ride in Celestial Park. (Not necessarily the same ride system or anything, but more an introduction ride that sort of gets you prepared for the rest of the park.) It could've started out as a theater/planetarium which...

How does the EU official reveal make you feel about the upcoming park?

More excited. We've all known what we're getting but to see Celestial Park in more detail blew me away. I had a feeling that this central "hub" would be a place you'd want to be but it's going to be gorgeous. Hopefully this level of detail gets carried out throughout the rest of the park and...

Are you saying that Spider-Man isn't a good ride?

Ghost Busters has the juice right now

I completely agree. My only concern is that there's a rumor about a Luigi's Mansion mini-land with attraction on the horizon. Would it be too similar?

Ghost Busters has the juice right now

It wasn't just the original movies. The cartoon series was a huge hit as was merchandising. It has the potential if Frozen Empire hits bigger than Afterlife. (Considering it's back in NYC, it looks like it will feel more like the original).

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

To be fair, it does look like it's missing two launches. We don't see it leave the station so it could've already gone through the barn, and back through the barn before the video started. Still, it's a short ride.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

You don't think this was the "we will hear more in January" do you?

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

Possibly. I think the room amount is the issue. Who knows, maybe adding a 3rd park's worth of capacity will make it work.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

Alicia mentioned that no Express for the new resort and no Express for the new park (for the foreseeable future). They wouldn't add express to just the new resort because it would throw the Express capacity numbers off at the other 2 parks. So possibly Express included when they allow Express...

Nintendo partnering with Universal to make attractions.

I will completely agree. My kids didn't get it. Most kids can't stay up late enough to even watch the show. I don't watch it but I do know the characters from skits that get passed around online. I liked the pre-ride area because it did feel as if you're waiting to be called to the show...

Nintendo partnering with Universal to make attractions.

Exactly. Actually I rather enjoy the Fallon pre-ride area. F&F, Fallon, Minions, and Dreamworks are/will fall flat. Minions and Dreamworks is separate from F&F and Fallon though because I look at that as more of cohesive branding for the company rather than something to draw people to the parks.

Nintendo partnering with Universal to make attractions.

I agree that it should but with word of mouth still riding high with Velocicoaster, the smart play is USF. Nobody will be talking about the DreamWorks overlay. When/If Pokemon opens, then all of the buzz will be on USF.

Are you sure? I thought the other was the newer because the space themed restaurant between Starfall Racers and Harry Potter is missing from the other one.

Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure vs Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Having finally ridden both...they are both very different. To me, the ride system was so unique in Guardians that it truly was like nothing I've ever been on (simple, yet worked so well). That being said, I'll take Hagrid's all day every day and twice on Sunday. Aside from the lackluster...
