Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

I think treating Seuss Landing as an inherently ugly land is dishonest (same goes for most of Toon Lagoon.) Does it get ugly when neglected? Yes, but you could say the same about literally any other park area. Seuss Landing is merely more high-maintenance than most. That said, they have had to...

I don't know, why did you?

Pretty basic planter honestly. Should've put one of those light tower things in the middle of it.

    It's too bad Disney wouldn't.

Ghost Busters has the juice right now

F&F is in San Francisco... There's nowhere to put another attraction in NY unless they replace something or repurpose the space behind the library facade, which is curently taken up by an events building.

EU/Donkey Kong Roller Coaster Orlando Testing & Night Vs. The Donkey Kong Roller Coaster Japan. How do cars jump the track?

Some of the gaps are oddly placed during flatter sections of the ride, but the only way you could get more of a "jumping motion" is by having the trains rock vertically, and I don't know how they would accomplish that or if it would even make for a pleasant ride experience.

    HHN 2024

They might as well call it Labor Day Horror Nights at this point.

Oh that paint scheme is 'majestic' alright. 😏

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

Without getting too political... I think getting political would actually be in the best interests of this park's investors. Do I actually want more wealthy businessmen preying on America's division? No, not at all, but it's already proven to be a very lucrative strategy. This could be equally...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

It's definitely narrow enough to be a choke point if they close off the currently open spaces on each side of it. You could only fit two of those trucks in there. And if they don't intend to close off the area around it, well, that'll just look weird. Why even put a portal there? I could be...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

I question the wisdom of placing a narrow portal right at the park's entrance.

I'm not really sure why you're basically bragging about Disney's streaming on a website dedicated to theme parks, but just for the hell of it, let's take a look at those numbers... Hmm, not leading the pack by any means, even with multiple services under their tent, but still looks okay I...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

I didn't say they should build a 5th park, but they certainly need to be building out the ones they already have. Disney will still have an entire park more than Universal, but what do you think would happen if we actually counted the number of attractions at each resort? I suspect that would...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

So Disney should just stand pat and not do anything until Universal builds a fourth park, another water park, and a ton of hotels? Otherwise I don't see the relevance of any of this.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

You never start construction on a project until the designs are finalized. That's just construction 101. If that's truly how they operate, then no wonder everything takes so long, and no wonder Disney has an animatronic that can't be turned on because it'll tear the entire structure apart. 🤦‍♂️

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

I'm afraid your math simply isn't mathing. That ain't 6 years, even if you DO include the pause in construction (which you shouldn't.)

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

The length of an attraction's or park's construction definitely isn't meaningless, especially with regards to delays. By that point everyone knows something is coming, it can potentially affect other areas of the park, and it's just not something we want to sit around and wait forever to finish...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

But we're strictly talking about construction, not the rest of the design phase. Generally speaking, none of us has any idea how long each attraction's design phase is anyway. We do know Tron was a clone and still took forever, so that doesn't bode well either way. Another thing that should be...

    Kong - skipping outside portion

Another experience completely ruined by penny pinching. Might as well just replace it at this point. Oh right, that would cost money. When do they remove the 3D from Hollywood's tram tour? Or do they have more competent park management out there?

What does that have to do with the park's construction timeline?
