    Make a ride

So, pretty much an update to the one they had at DisneyQuest is what you're saying?

Disney World can Kiss my grits...

I started reading through this post, and after about two pages, I stopped so I could go ahead and give my own thoughts. I'm in my mid-40s. The first time I went to WDW was when there was only Magic Kingdom. Now, I don't recall much from that trip, but based on the time it would have been, it...

    World Showcase thoughts

Over the last several years, Disney has made certain to update different things in the World Showcase. In some cases, this has been adding an area, such as with the upcoming Cherry Tree Lane section for the UK. Sometimes, it's updating a movie, such as with Canada. Other times, it's been...

Have you seen Song of the south in its entirety

I saw it with my dad when it was re-released in theaters back in the 80s. I can certainly understand the problems that exist regarding this movie, but would still like for Disney to release it on DVD/Blu-Ray, with the disclaimer about cultural depictions. As for the Splash Mountain thing, I...

    The Mandalorian Pinball

Give it time. A bunch of great machines have been released for 'Pinball Arcade' across multiple platforms, or similar digital pinball set ups. If they negotiate the rights, you could easily see it eventually.

Jungle Cruise vs Pirates of the Caribbean vs The Haunted Mansion

I voted Haunted Mansion, because I do think it is the better ride. The overall theming and immersive elements, the mix of spooky and funny, just overall makes it a great overall experience. With that being said, my favorite of the bunch is still Jungle Cruise, because I absolutely love the...

*Yawns... stretches... looks around* "What have I missed?"

Thank you. Hopefully some of my old friends are still around, but if not, always happy to make new friends.

    Interesting facts

In 1983, the City of Redondo Beach, California, located near Goodyear’s airship base in Carson, recognized the Goodyear Airship Columbia as the "Official Bird” of Redondo Beach.

*Yawns... stretches... looks around* "What have I missed?"

Hi all, It's been a while... a long while... since I've really been active on here. Looking to start popping in a little more and such. Hope everyone is well, and wondering if any of the folks that were around when I was more active are actually still around?

What was your very first post?

From way back in 2004: I'm going to be down there from August 22-29 2004. But if it's not ready then, I may use the free airline tickets I got off of a five hour JetBlue delay and my AP to go down in January so I can see it.:animwink:

Does anyone here shop on Black Friday?

We're thinking of visiting some friends that day, but we won't be going to any stores. Not like we have a lot to work with at the moment anyway, so really no point in trying to fight crowds. I think the one thing I like about Black Friday this year is there's this stupid Kohl's commercial with a...

    The All Movies Thread....

Well, the trailer looks pretty good, I'll definitely give it that. Not sure that it will quite be as good as the books, but if it's even half as good, then we should be worth it. I'm liking Woody Harrelson as Haymitch. And now that I'm looking at things, Lenny Kravitz might just be pretty cool...

    The All Movies Thread....

I'm definitely looking forward to the release of "The Hunger Games" next year. I'd be surprised if it didn't reach the goal it needs to for a sequel in under 2 weeks, let alone before the first week of release is up. But then, I've been wrong before. Just that the books have made quite a fan...

AVATAR land coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

As it is, I don't really spend a lot of time at AK when I go to WDW. I spend a lot more time at MK and Epcot. This would potentially get me wanting to go to AK more, depending on what exactly it entailed. Personally, I really enjoyed Avatar. Did I think it was the best movie I'd ever seen? No...

    A Salute To NASA

We watched a lot of the shuttle launches live on television when I was in elementary school, especially since I was in school in the 80s when the shuttle program was still fairly young. We missed the Challenger disaster, since there was a play being performed in our auditorium that day, but we...

    Spoiled?

I've had similar thoughts with some of the shows I've seen after going to WDW, but I still enjoyed them for the most part. It's been a while since I've gotten to go out to a fireworks show, though. We might be going to the ones in Providence.

    My mom passed away today...

My family and I send our condolences to you on your loss. I lost my mother 10 years ago this year so I understand what you must be going through right now. I'm not on here as often as I used to be, but if you need someone to talk to, I'm a pretty good listener.
