Disney Research: Acrobat and Stunt Double Robots

Aside from the Westworld similarity aspects, I'm also getting shades of Blade Runner and an anime series called Bubblegum Crisis hitting my brain...

    New Star Tours Sequence

For my mind, I would wonder how something representing the new films would be merged in for the attraction whose "story" takes place between Revenge of the Sith and New Hope...

    Diorama on the people mover

Way back in the day...and I'm about to show my age here...when the space for Buzz Lightyear was If You Had Wings (then later, If You Could Fly, then Dreamflight, then Take Flight) the window panes would look down in to the attraction like the one set does for Buzz Lightyear still. Some of these...

    Pin question.

Unfortunately...no. I've checked in to this before for myself recently. Limited release pins are "blocked out" of mail-ordering for the 1st 30 days of their release. After that then they can be ordered/purchased without having to go to the parks if there are any available. Open release pins...

    Haunted Mansion theory

Axe Bride was added in the 2007 Refurb. Prior to that the Bride stood a bit further away from the track on the right holding a decayed bouquet of flowers. The Bride was a lot less threantening in the old version.

Dr Who coming to Epcot and other news

Not to be picky...but your link doesn't jump to any images, just the start of this thread...

Bloggers and Podcasters need to be controlled

If I had not been a Disney forums lurker or somewhat familiar with the bigger players in the Disney parks fan community, I would have not read much more in to the use of Lou's name and podcast title that just a radio reporter identifying himself and the radio station he reports for. Even with...

    Disney Tattoos?

I have just enough space between Horizons and JII where I could add a third and keep the size halfway between the other two. IF I do that, more than likely it will be Living Seas.

    Disney Tattoos?

You and I had the same idea. Have a Horizons logo tattoo on my left forearm as well in blue...and the Journey Into Imagination logo in purple (in honor of the original version of the attraction). Ink work done and photo taken August 2009.

Dr Who coming to Epcot and other news

Quite nice to see some Doctor Who related merchandise coming in to EPCOT's UK pavilion. Used to be YEARS ago when that was the only place I could get Jelly Babies (reference from the Classic Doctor Who series). While I would desperately love to see either Disney mated merchandise, an...

    Disney World At Night

If they're offering evening EMH at AK, you can catch Expedition Everest at twilight, early evening. Even the Tree of Life takes on a grander feel looking at it from the bridge between Everest and Finding Nemo: The Musical as the sun sets behind it and the accent lights below the tree come on.

    TTA and Space Mountain

Well...if Disney "fixes" the TTA path through Space Mountain, where would I be able to canoodle with my honey in near total darkness?

funny keepsakes or non traditional souvenirs

Definitely...I keep my resort key cards from each trip. :) I also have saved a few drink stirrers from the lounge at the top of Bay Lake Tower (they use the same ones as the Contemporary). I've also got two Monorail Co-Pilot cards from pre-2009 trips (second of which I received when riding in...

    Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom

Sorry for slight topic drift...but to double-check my understanding from above: to progress between easy>medium>hard one has to complete each level of nine villains, correct? Just wanted to verify as I dabbled a bit while I was down for the 24hr event and worked through Tiana/Facilier and...

    WDW iPhone Apps

The "official" Disney app was made in partnership with Verizon Wireless a couple of years ago (before VZW had the iPhone), hence the Droid platform for it. There are many Disney parks focused apps out there not produced by Disney. WDWMagic even have some of their own out there. One...

    pooh sized guests?

I stand 6' tall and weigh in about 300lbs, mostly belly/hips (48" waist pants). Of all the attractions at WDW I have only had a problem with one: Sum of All Thrills. The way the attraction seating is designed I was unable to be safely restrained in it. Outside of that, I have had no problems on...

PHOTO - A 'pre-paint' look at Monorail Peach in the maintenance area

As a kid I rode the Express Monorail plenty of times from the MK to the TTC at night when my family left the park to head home...and the monorail would leave the MK station heading around Seven Seas Lagoon towards the Poly then TTC. How I remember this? I would watch the Electrical Water...

    Fall 2011 D23 Subscriber's Gift

On a recent trip to WDW I picked up a satchel/messenger bag that was designed for the 40th Anniversary of the Magic Kingdom that I'll be attaching my D23 patches too.
