How Many Days for You? Part 12

I hope this means 27 days, and not 1814 days, or (gasp!) 400, 000 days :-)

    Time to pay the piper.

If you got spoiled by the Poly, always remember that renting DVC points through a reputable broker like David's is a heckuva lot cheaper than shelling out rack rate for a deluxe.

    Advice

Remember that most WDW restaurants will offer anywhere from a 10% to a 20% discount just for showing your DVC membership card. Here is a recent list from dvcnews.com: http://dvcnews.com/index.php/other-resources/walt-disney-world/dining-67437/4018-disney-vacation-club-dining-discounts-for-2018

    Vacation club

We bought in March 2009, and have made 4 visits so far, staying at our home resort of BLT twice and AKV Kidani twice. We are staying at VGF in 10 days. We have also booked for family a couple of times. When we know we will not be going for a year or two, I will rent out my points thru...

Anybody event rent out and rent points at the same time to get an 11 month booking?

Sounds like I need to find a BCV owner to swap with so I have slightly better than a snowball's chance in Hades of getting BCV during F&W. :banghead:

So after calculations, the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is cheaper

Never used the dining plan as it doesn't make sense for our family. We stay DVC and will usually make breakfast at the room before hitting the parks. We also don't exclusively do Disney; we will always include a Universal day in our plans for my Potterhead daughter. Because we always stay...

Is wdw worth visiting for teens/adults

One of the things I am looking forward to is having the kids both educated and on their own, so that the wife and I can get some good use out of our DVC. I could see the "Epcot Food and Wine Festival" becoming an annual pilgrimage. That said, my 16-year-old daughter has already said she wants...

FP+ vs ADR, which is more annoying/valuable?

Yikes! Rope drop is not anywhere on our priority list, partly due to mob scenes like this, but mainly due to the fact that I am the only person in the family who is a morning person (a condition imposed on me during a 30-year air force career), and the aggravation of trying to get everyone else...

    Choosing a Disney agent...

When we booked our very first WDW/DCL vacation back in late 2008, we used a TA. Due to my unfamiliarity with WDW and DCL and the complexity of everything -- 5 days at WDW for 4 of us pre-cruise, followed by a 7-night DCL cruise for 14 people, with multiple flight itineraries, DME, pre-cruise...

    Decisions for non park day???

So our "non-park day" on Wednesday, March 7 has now become a "half-non-park day", as we will likely spend the late afternoon and evening at MK for evening EMH. That will make Friday (our scheduled MK day) a bit less hectic.

    Decisions for non park day???

We have scheduled a mid-week "non-park day" for our upcoming trip to VGF. DW, DD and DD's friend plan on doing the spa and high tea.... neither of which interest me in the least. If the weather is nice, I may just laze by the pool with a book. If not, I may hop on the monorail and check out...

    Kidani hallways

We stayed at Kidani about 5 years ago and I think we calculated the walk from the lobby to our room at just about a quarter mile, so I hear ya :-)

How Many DVC Resorts Have You Stayed At?

Only been owners since 2009, so we are slowly working on the list, but as we only make it to WDW every couple of years or so, then it may take awhile. Planning on more frequent trips in a few years once the nest is empty and it is just the wife and I travelling. Here is the tally so far: BLT...
