We talked about canceling our 8/31 - 9/8 trip, but are also gonna roll the dice. We've made a couple adjustments though: we moved a couple dinner reservations out of the parks to various resorts, and added the water parks to our package to give ourselves some options in case the parks are nutso.

So how bad will MK, AK and EPCOT be?

We have been booked for months for August 31 - September 8. Is the August 29th opening a good thing or a bad thing? Ha.

I'm sure there will be some changes, but nothing *too* major as winter (as in "Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White is slated to begin this winter") isn't all that far away. I can see them doing a quick mural changeout though. Also, no buffet. It's prix fixe.

My wife is a Disney travel agent and she just got the official release from her company about the changeover. She actually hadn't heard anything about it until today, and she perfectly summed up our feelings on it. We love Disney. We love Disney World. We love the Disney experience. But...

Darn. Artist Point was a fave. In addition to the food, we liked how quiet it was and the restaurant was never overflowing. That was probably part of the issue.

Given the current political climate I'd be stunned if we got a Russian pavilion.

The Good Dinosaur was derivative, but way better than Cars 2.

Apologies if already covered in the previous 386 pages, but is the Slinky Dog coaster pretty much a regular coaster experience, or does the coaster have any "slinky" action? Like how Mine Train sways, does this have any movement that mimics the way a Slinky would expand and contract?
