Is there anything better then check in day?

I LOVE check in day!! I think what’s just as great is how the excitement starts the night before when I feel like that old WDW commercial “I’m too excited to sleep” :)Then when once you check in and you know you still have a week or two (depending) ahead of you, that’s the best! Then you see...

Best Ride to Take a Nap

I can and have fallen asleep on the TTA. When it is baking hot out and you get to finally sit down after being in line for what seems like an eternity to get on SM, there is nothing better! You prop up the feet, slouch down a little, you even feel a nice breeze when you are outside and it speeds...

    Romance in Disney

I would say talk a walk on the beach at the Polynesian Hotel. You can see Wishes from there and there are some quiet spots away from the part of beach across from the pool. Kind of a tropical romance vibe. Plus the castle, the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian look so pretty from the Poly...

    Polynesian or Contemporary

Poly all the way I vote for the Poly hands down! It is a physically beautiful property with the longhouses and the foliage/flowers. And the castmembers are all great with an "Aloha!" around every corner. With all the changes it has gone through during the last year or two, it has really stepped...

Never been for New Year's. Opinions anyone??

Is it really as bad as I think it will be for New Years's (crowd-wise)? We will be down in the World Dec.29-Jan. 06. I have never been to WDW during this time. We always go in September when crowds are quite low so I guess you can say we got used to not being in crazy long lines. Is it best to...

    What have your ridden alone?

Rode many times what used to be called Rio Del Tiempo in Mexico alone because there was never anyone on it. It was cool getting your own boat. Pirates towards the end of an Extra Magic Hour night. TTA, in the sense that there was no one infront of behind for like 4 vehicle lengths in both...

The very first Disney ride that everyone rides!

Left or right? It depends if once we get near the castle we go left or right. If we go left and head for Adventureland, first ride is always Jungle Cruise, a great ride to get you in the Disney Spirit. If we go right and head for Tomorrowland, always Space Mountain to beat the crowds since we...

    The first thing you do?

We always arrive around lunch so we unpack first while watching Top 7 (I just like getting that out of the way super quick), head down to lunch at Kona Cafe and then take one loop around the resort monorail to see to see what is going on or if anything is new.

Resort Restaurants - Which one help me pick

1.) Jiko's- for something out of the ordinary. Cool ambience too! 2.) Artists Point- pork chop and blue cheese macaroni. :slurp: 3.) Fultons at Downtown Disney- best crab and super attentive staff 4.) California Grill- especially during the fireworks...makes it so special 5.) Dinner shows...

    Favorite Table Service

I have to say Jiko's. It is not something you will experience anywhere else. The mood and lighting of the restaurant is magical and the food is so interesting. I also like Artist's Point. I have never had a bad meal there and if you like pork chops they have the best served with blue cheese mac...

If you had to choose a Deluxe Resort to stay at which one would you choose?

Definitely Hawaii, no questions asked. Nothing beats the atmosphere and the monorail to MK. Plus, good restaurants and one of the best pools on property in my opinion. Can see Wishes and Electrical Water Pageant from beach which is a plus. I think I feel more rested when I come home from the...

    Most Embarassing WDW moment

Mine is similar to k.hunter30 . In September we were at Typhoon Lagoon. Knowing what those slides could be like, I decided to wear a one piece bathing suit thinking I would be safe. Well I was in the wave pool waiting for a wave to come and had my back facing to it. Once it was right there, I...

    If you had wings

Not sure if in that ride but I was shocked to hear part of the song very lightly being played towards the end of the TTA (just the tume not with the words). The weird thing is my husband and I rode it like a month ago 3 times in a row and we heard it only 2 out of the 3 times. We used to love...

    Comfortable Beds?

We stayed at the Poly a few weeks ago and I agree that the new beds are very comfy. I usually have a problem with pillows and my neck at hotels but I was pretty pleased this time around. The pillows on the bed were soft but in the closet they had 2 spare pillows that were firm which I thought...

What were your "firsts" on your most recent visit?

This past trip a few weeks ago, our first was eating at Victoria and Alberts. It was for our anniversary. We had always wanted to since we heard such good reviews but were turned off by the idea of having to bring "dress up" clothes to a place like WDW. This time we finally decided to just do it...

    Another Wet MNSSHP??

My husband and I were there on the 14th. I haven't seen rain like that in a long time. It actually hurt getting rained on! And it was cold rain. Yuck! We lasted about 2 hours and then decided to just go back to the hotel. We still managed to have some fun though. The worst part is that my gym...

Which side do you start from?

We always go left and start with Mexico. It is the side I like best and we leave Canada for last. Sometimes we get so tired from walking in the August/September heat and humiditythat by the time we get to UK we just want to race through and get to a nice air conditioned ride in Future World...

    Wish you were here!

We will be there in 4 days!!! This Saturday we are arriving and have the dining plan. We always go in September and found the crowds to be nice and low, but we are not expecting that this time around with this promotion. I am just so excited to go I don't even care right now how long the waits...

how many more days for you? (continued)

16 more days!! I can't wait. It is driving me crazy and I am starting to think about the trip more and more throughout the day as time goes by. This Saturday will be the 2 week mark. Before every WDW trip, at the two week mark, we put up a countdown using post-its on the wall (putting a number...
