the old feeling is gone.... or at least reduced a lot..

There have been a lot of little things over time that did the parks in for me but I think the final straw was Genie+. The parks and resorts were at one point fun and relaxing for me. While I still love them and enjoy new attractions such as Cosmic Rewind, I find I can't relax and enjoy the...

the old feeling is gone.... or at least reduced a lot..

If you're finding the parks and resorts aren't as magical, I encourage you to check out DCL! I just got back from a great week on the Fantasy. Fantastic entertainment, food, and service, it was magical. I can't say enough great things about the crew/cast. I hope the rest of the company doesn't...

    trams from the parking lots

This simply isn't factually correct. If you read through the transcripts for the last 2 earning calls, Disney has been actively working to manage their cost side based on capacity to keep a positive net. Safety is a good cover here and is part of the equation; however, this was identified as a...

    trams from the parking lots

Markers could easily be set up, as the entire parking lot isn't being utilized right now. It's budget savings camouflaged as safety. As the CDC put it, a lot of this is "theater" and the illusion of safety anyways.

    trams from the parking lots

Not where the trams are; however, there are locations where you can drop off individuals.

    trams from the parking lots

There really isn't a reason to not have trams operating right now, this is about saving money. With reduced capacity at the parks and reservation systems in place, markers could be placed on the ground, dividers placed on the trams, and rows limited to 1 party. If Disney can figure out how to...

Hello all! I hope each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I have a quick question for you all. I just finished dinner at The Wave and ran into an issue receiving an AP Discount. I also have a Tables in Wonderland Card, DVC Card, and Disney Visa Card; however, I know these aren't valid on...

News Park hopping to return January 1st 2021

Exciting news! As a DVC Member, I've been able to enjoy many weekends at Disney since August. It'll be nice to resume park hopping in January! Speaking with a lot of the Cast Members at the restaurants, they've been saying it's been staying very steady for them, which is great to hear. Parks...

Politics 28000 Layoffs coming to Disney's domestic theme parks - statement from Josh D'Amaro

We just had a trip to Walt Disney World and stayed on property. Normally we receive an email and text message when our room is ready; however, we never received it. We finally stopped by the lobby a little after 4:00 to check on the status of our room and there were several other folks inquiring...

    True Cost of an AP

Not sure what part of Florida you were in but our teachers start off at $50,000, are in the Florida Retirement System, and receive great health care benefits. Many of us have annual passes, we actually do staff Disney days throughout the year, lots of fun! For my family, the annual pass has been...

    DVC Purchase Help

Question 1: As long as you buy at least 75 points directly through Disney, you'll get the extra benefits. Just remember that the extra benefits are not a guarantee to always be around. The free parking is good whether you are using points purchased direct or resale. Question 2: Honestly not...

    Halloween cruise on the Dream

I did a search but most of the comments are a bit older but probably still pretty accurate. We are doing a 3-night cruise on the Dream for a Halloween cruise. Anything special you folks recommend that we should make sure we do that isn't on a normal Dream cruise? Looking forward to any...

News Annual Pass price increases June 2019

You are definitely paying a price for the quality. With both DCL and getting back on topic of the AP price increases, folks have to make a decision if it's worth parting with their money for either of them. Each family is in a different place financially, has different goals, and different wants...

News Annual Pass price increases June 2019

I can't personally speak to the quality of other cruise lines, I just went on my first cruise this year and it was with Disney. My dad has been on too many Carnival cruises, followed up with numerous Royal Caribbean cruises, and his NCL count is starting to get up there now too. He joined me on...

    News Tomorrowland love

Aside from Rock 'N' Roller and the Incredicoaster over at California Adventure (Which I would still describe both as fairly tame), Disney's coasters seem to continue to focus on family, friendly rides. With that said, still looking forward to the new additions!

Absolutely agree about The Barnstormer, it serves its purpose well. I'm very much looking forward to Tron and it seems like it's going to be a solid, lengthy coaster and fun as well.

    News Tomorrowland love

Odd, I thought Slinky was a pretty lengthy ride, in terms of a coaster; however, The Barnstormer, Mine Train, and Rock 'N' Roller feel on the shorter end.
