Is Disney's food cost out of line??

I know I'm in the minority but my hubby and I felt the prices for food were not bad at all. Some things are pricey, especially if it comes in a cute cup or popcorn container, but overall we paid close to what we do at home (Denver). I've found in the past though that when I say that I get...

    WDW or Universal?

This exactly. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time at Universal but my husband and I commented about the same thing. He's pretty tall and I'm pretty chubby so the seats were definitely smaller than at Disney. But having to put our stuff in lockers was the least enjoyable part for us hands...

What was the best part of your last trip??

This is a great thread! Last trip (and only my 3rd one ever) was October 2017. For me all of it was magical but the best part were the times that everyone was happy (a family of 6) like riding soarin' and seeing Pandora for the first time. Staying at animal kingdom lodge was amazing. And the...

I think I might be done with WDW.

I don't understand the comparisons to Universal. We went for 2 days in October before heading to Disney. My park tickets cost more then my disney tickets cost, the wait times were much higher at Universal then Disney. Crowds were the same, food was not as good, customer service was not as good...

Mobile phone usage on dark rides

Yeah that would be pretty hard to miss! At least they apologized, this day and age I'm more surprised by apologizes then no apology.

Mobile phone usage on dark rides

I must have gotten lucky because I don't remember being bothered by any of these things. I personally was focused on the rides and not other people. Just my experience though.

    Poll: Adult Trips to WDW.

I'm struggling with this right now. I really want to take an adults only 10 year anniversary trip with the hubby next year BUT I do worry because our 6 (will be 7 then) year old is very clingy. My older kids are not, probably because of age but also because of divorce and are gone every weekend...

Be honest, how weird is it for a male to go on Solo trip?

Do it! Not weird at all and I'm totally jealous!

    Best Quick Service

Yes! Totally agree!! Everyone in my family loved it including my picky mom. And it was different than most places.

    Which Parks??

So many different opinions. Good luck! My opinion, just to add it in, is to get the park hopper. We did HS in October, there's some good stuff but I wouldn't necessarily say a whole days worth, then took the ferry over to epcot. Now epcot is my favorite so I'm biased but it would give you the...

A long time Disney fan turns sour!

This was how I did my last trip and I really enjoyed it. I made a couple reservations and some fastpasses, but I walked around and enjoyed myself. Did I see everything or ride everything? Nope but all the better reason to go back someday! :)

Fall trip for anniversary best time?

Congrats!! My hubby and I will hit 10 years in August 2019! I'm trying to convince him to take me alone for a couple days in September 2019. I plan on using David's rentals and the prices are cheaper a week or two into September so that's my goal. Hopefully you guys get to celebrate at Disney...

A long time Disney fan turns sour!

It's like arguing with one of my kids. I was making an observation on food prices. I did NOT say that 3 tacos and a drink are not as expensive at Disney. I've also said food is more expensive at Disney but I'm tired of people saying is so much more when it's not always. Yes it can be wildly...

My point was that I was eating something small and it still cost 13 bucks not the freaking tacos themselves, you are maddening!

I added guac, and damn people, it was one example. I'm saying that it costs almost as much to eat in the real world, no its not as expensive but it's not dirt cheap. I've also eaten at restaurants that cost more here then at Disney.

A long time Disney fan turns sour!

Yeah it's not cheap here but it's not crazy high like New York, I've been here 15 years now, won't be moving until at least the kids are out.

So you found a restaurant that charges 23 bucks for tacos. For one thats not your only option, for two that sounds a lot better than what I ate, and three it looks like a suit down restaurant, maybe I'm wrong. I don't care. My point was that food still costs a fortune outside the bubble as well...

A long time Disney fan turns sour!

This is how I feel. This last October was the first vacation I could afford to take in 7 years. It honestly blows my mind how many people have the privilege of being able to go multiple times a year and then complain!!! I'm hoping and I mean HOPING that I can afford to go again in 2020. Then...
