    Frozen going dark in August?

It certainly isn't listed on the daily entertainment schedule in August... which is a bummer, since I'm going in August... then again, it's not listed as being closed, either... mystery...

Are DL and DCA fastpasses linked yet?

We're going to DLR at the end of August. I'm just wondering if the fastpasses are linked yet (where you can't get concurrent FPs--one in each park)... I know it has or is supposed to happen in preparation for MaxPass or something... Just wondering if it has or if there's any kind of definite...

Guide to DLR for WDW Veterans!

I can't find it now, but I think someone mentioned that if you're staying close to the Toy Story transportation center, you can just walk to there and catch a tram (or bus or whatever)? I was thinking of putting us at the Convention Center Hyatt Place, and that Toy Story transportation center...

    Best times to visit DLR?

Thanks for the tips! By Sept, we'll have been though another Texas summer (of many), so I doubt heat will be too much of a problem. Besides, while I'd be happy with temps in the 70s, my wife loves the sun and the heat. So, at least she'd be happy. :)

    Best times to visit DLR?

Thanks for the input! If you had to recommend a time for an out-of-towner to visit for 4 days (maybe 3.5-ish), what would you recommend? What is the best combination of lesser crowds, nice weather, and not high time for refurbs? My kids are in Tues/Thurs classes. So, I'm thinking maybe we can...

    Best times to visit DLR?

Hey, I've read somewhere (think it was here) that the best times to visit are times when passholders are blacked out. Then, if I look somewhere like undercover tourist, THEY say that the times when passholders are blacked out are the best times because so much traffic is due to local...

    Free dining

If mods do just get QS, Disney will have officially priced me out of being able to go. I may look into offsite options, but I may just cruise or go to a national park or something instead...

    Remnants of former attractions

The way this makes me feel... just a reminder that being "nowhere" in WDW is (usually) better than being "somewhere" anywhere else...

    Remnants of former attractions

I think that might be the first time I've watched a video of a bathroom... Also, it was such a reminder of Disney's attention to detail. Even though it's a bathroom, I love the fact that there's this quiet spot with music like that playing...

    Best Moderate

Only stayed at POR for mod. It's nice. Pool area is great. I love the main building--just wish it wasn't so far from most rooms (makes that refillable mug a pain to use). Besides main building distance, you know what's annoying about POR? With one exception (I think AK)--and unless they've...

    Dining plan with breakfast

We tend to stay away from breakfast, since it's not a great use of credits. So, not a lot of experience, BUT we have enjoyed the breakfast at Akershus several times. The setting is nice, pastries are tasty, and the 'real' food is pretty good. I have a tentatively planned trip in Sept, and have...

    Free Dining News????

Something I have noticed that seems strange... If I try to book for something (let's say CBR) for dates in Sept that I am interested in (let's say Sept 8 to Sept15) the website won't show availability. However, if I shorten that to Sept 8 to Sept 14, it WILL show availability. THEN, if I search...

Blaze Pizza opening in May 2016 at Disney Springs

I will admit: I did not read every post in this thread. Hopefully this wasn't already discussed, BUT... We have enjoyed the pizzas at Wolfgang Puck Express in the past (I love the BBQ chicken pizza). How would you guys compare the WP pizza to Blaze? Also, We ate at Via Napoli on our most recent...

Where would you want to weather a hurricane in WDW?

I've got to say... I'm not ready to eat giraffe. In a survival situation, though... all bets are off.

Where would you want to weather a hurricane in WDW?

That's terrible to even suggest. I think you would have to use your phone to look up ways to MacGyver some noise-cancelling headphones from Small World parts.

Where would you want to weather a hurricane in WDW?

Yeah... good luck getting any sympathy from your friends/family after that. You: "there was a hurricane while I was at WDW, and I was stuck in the Cinderella Suite for two days!" F/F: "oh, you poor baby" You: "Well, it was... rainy... outside... and stuff... and room service took so long to...

Where would you want to weather a hurricane in WDW?

Off topic warning... @Beacon Joe: no disrespect to "Beacon Joe", but at first I thought it was "Bacon Joe" and I was like "Best. Name. Ever." :)

Where would you want to weather a hurricane in WDW?

Mexico could be cool. I think I'd like more windows to storm-watch, but--then again--my original choice of the Land wouldn't be very window-y, either... Then, if you're being really practical, no windows is probably the way to go...

Where would you want to weather a hurricane in WDW?

I bet. That's why I went with Contemp or WL. I'd like the 'warmer' feel of WL, but Contemp would give you a good view (as JIMINYCR points out).

    Malfunction Stories

The donkey story made me remember... We ate at the Garden Grill one time, and it was not rotating. Our table was above Living with the Land where the dog is in front of the house barking. So, for the whole meal, it was "Ruff Ruff Ruff"......"Ruff Ruff Ruff". I can still hear that dog...
