They're definitely busier than normal..but from my experience not NYE busy. Since we've literally done all holdiays there, we not tend to find the weeks slightly before the holidays to enjoy the decor and theme, just not the crowds so much. For example, we are going the 2nd week of December...

Not to stress what others say...but our family has done literally EVERY holiday there...and we will NEVER do NYE there again. We love Disney, but not under these circumstances...it was very hard to enjoy ourselves with so many people.

I will say this...Drinks around the world on NYE wont be as easy as it sounds. I'm sure it's going to be a great trip, but my wife and I (pre kids) went to Disney for NYE once and vowed never to do it again....take the largest crowds you've seen and multiply it by 3 or 4...it's that packed...

This past trip we took was with extended family and our two kids....one 7 months, one 2.5 years old. We went last Oct/Nov. We placed a huge garden grocer order (our first time using this service). It was great. We stayed at the cabins at FW, so we pretty much had a full kitchen and full size...
