It’s because most float drivers also have to do rehearsals for Christmas in addition to their daily shifts at FoF, Adventure Friends, and Boo to You. These poor people need some sleep.

The MK moat is also sunken down(not at street level) and fountains would be difficult to see. You’d only see the upper half of the jets. It isn’t seen as a worthwhile investment.

Again, not when the replacement parts are no longer manufactured. They do what they can, but it’s not all possible anymore. Especially in regards to the two floats acquired from Tokyo.

They also only run parades seasonally and go down for extended periods of refurb. Day Parades in Orlando run every day of the year.

Maintenance goes into it quite literally every day. These things weren’t meant to run twice a day. Often, they’re sent out into the park with half empty batteries. Day parade ran for decades with only one viewing time, they can absolutely figure it out

Also having electrical issues. Parade would be in much better shape if park management would only run it once a day, but instead they choose to run it into the ground.

It was stripped and rebuilt a year or two ago.
