News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner -

I'm sure it's been addressed on this thread somewhere, but they're going to really need to expand the security check area and entryway for the International Gateway. It gets backed up just serving the Crescent Lake resorts (only two lines for security). If it's now going to service four more...

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

I'm of the thought that the more they can do to consolidate IP within Epcot, the better. Granted, I know it will still permeate areas of the park, but I'm glad they went with this approach rather than having such IP-driven entertainment scattered across the park. It does look aesthetically...

What do you think of the EPCOT Central Spine redesign?

Totally agree. You need a compelling argument to them that will ultimately result in "the green stuff." Look, I know people continuously state the Epcot Center of yesteryear is dead. I believe that too. BUT there can be a happy medium between the tone and spirit of Epcot Center and the...

What do you think of the EPCOT Central Spine redesign?

Okay, so then there's still hope. Has there ever been a time where Disney park goers mobilized to effect change at a park? I'm talking about contacting park officials and articulating their strong feelings, which ultimately were brought to fruition.

What do you think of the EPCOT Central Spine redesign?

@marni1971 - Is there an alternative plan that is preferable? If so, why is it better?

"Budget Cuts" - Now Showing at Disney's Hollywood Studios

To be fair, Disney can anticipate that this will be most likely their least-visited park for the next two years. So putting less of their resources in that park would make sense. However, aside from those with annual passes/park hoppers, it would make no sense for anyone to purchase a 1-day...

Na'vi River Journey reviews, comments and questions

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I would rather use a Fastpass on FEA than NRJ.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

If that's the case, one would assume they operate at a much faster pace than the GMR vehicles. I mean, it is called the "Runaway" Railway after all.

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner -

Was by the International Gateway this weekend. Noticed they have a ton of construction supplies/materials over the barrier. I think groundbreaking is pretty imminent on this site, in particular.

Avatar Flight of Passage reviews, comments and questions

Went on FoP first thing Saturday morning. Such an awesome ride and an incredible queue! This should be the benchmark Disney uses when developing future projects.

Na'vi River Journey reviews, comments and questions

Just rode NRJ over the weekend. If I had to describe it in one word it would be: "Meh." Extremely short. Other than the animatronic at the end, there wasn't anything too special. I find Frozen Ever After to be a parallel ride that's much more engaging. Too bad, the rest of the land is phenomenal.

What do you think of the EPCOT Central Spine redesign?

Fair enough. Would they actually announce their final vision for Future World or just do it piece by piece w/o announcements?

What do you think of the EPCOT Central Spine redesign?

When would they firm this up and initiate construction? That's a large endeavor that will disrupt Epcot (unless done in phases).

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Right! I believe I heard rumblings that's the potential location of the hotel. It would be cool if a SW:GE expansion plot could be adjacent to it. Not sure how that plays into zoning since, as we know, not all land Disney owns is permitted for theme park use.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Right. However, there is no area inside the park boundaries that comes to mind when constructing the SW hotel. It would have to be across the street. If it is, in fact, across the street there needs to be a cool thematic way to connect the two. If they can do that for a hotel, that means they...

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

This may be a long shot, but could they ever connect SW:GE to another park that also contains a Star Wars themed land? Similar to how Hogwarts/Hogsmeade connects to Diagon Alley at Universal via the Hogwarts Express? Could be neat if done correctly, but I don't see another Star Wars themed...

Are the Disney Suits viewing Pandora as a success?

(Take this with a grain of salt as I have not yet visited Pandora) I think Pandora needs a ride that is outside if Disney thinks it's not drawing enough nighttime visitors. I believe that experiencing an outdoor attraction at night is quite different than the day (Take Expedition Everest or Big...

What do you think of the EPCOT Central Spine redesign?

I find the septic/musty smelling area outside of the Epcot Character Spot to be charming. It's kind of like "Oh Epcot - you and your quirks!"

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

I've reflected on this a bit more and have determined I am at peace with this approach. TGMR was a staple at DHS/MGM since opening and obviously fit perfectly in the park. While I respect the argument that a massive refurb of TGMR should've been the preferred approach, MaMRR isn't such a bad...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I want more details of the Spine overhaul. When will they actually have a firm aesthetic direction? When will they announce this new vision? When will they actually begin construction? D23 didn't give me the details I need.
