Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

Yup, just announced on the WD Parks Blog that June 17 will be the official opening for Soarin Around The World. I was really hoping for it to be open for my late May trip. Very sad, because it is my favorite ride, and I will just miss it. As much as I would love for it to reopen earlier even...

    Who plans your Disney vacation?

I love planning myself. It's definitely half of the fun for me! I get so into it that I make binders and folders. I like the feeling of having complete control of our itinerary as well.

    Why is Stitch still there?

Yes, Stitch was created by the "evil genius." I know he's supposed to be mischievous, but when the kids watch him in the movie, they are more apt to see the "cute" side. It's a shock to the kids when they get on the ride and it feels like a horror movie!

    Flip Flop recommendations?

I actually prefer wearing flip flops, because they keep my feet from getting too hot. I have a pair of beloved Reef flip flops that are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. They have special padding near the soles, and they are just so comfy! I don't know if they still sell them...

Everyone's Best and Worst Dining Experiences?

Best is always 'Ohana. We've never had a bad experience there, and the food is SO good. Worst experience was probably Hollywood & Vine. The food was cold and subpar, and it seemed grimy in the restaurant.

Rides you always get stuck on

We stop a lot on Buzz Lightyear, but it's just for handicapped entry. The only ride I've broken down on was the TTA. We ended up "crashing" into the car in front of us. It made for a pretty laughable experience to say that we crashed on the Blue Line. We sat for about 30 minutes before a ride...

One Week May Be Too Long

I can definitely see what you are saying. We've done shorter and longer trips, and it all depends on what you do with your time. Our best experiences have been when we do long trips with half-days in the parks and days off mixed in for relaxing at the pool or just taking it easy. Seven straight...

Does Disney have too many resorts?

I don't think so. The plethora of resorts to choose from ensures that every family can have a great Disney experience. The different categories of resorts are great for different budgets, and each resorts has a unique theme, which adds to the magic. However, I do think Disney needs to take some...

    Why is Stitch still there?

I'm 17 years old and I'm still absolutely terrified of this ride! It's creepy. I remember bawling my eyes out on it when I was little. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the shoulder restraints. I hate the feeling of being trapped. Stitch is supposed to be a cute, loving Disney character...
