    Rumors. Musings. Casual.

My gripe was more about the 100 anniversary merch. I do like this line of ornaments and have several of them. I absolutely would have bought Roger but I already have a Roger driving Benny and decided that money was better spent on something else.

I remember seeing that. Its fine for what it is but we were looking for something more akin to a classic Christmas bulb with a more subdued style.

Will a fifth gate ever be built at WDW?

Thanks. Hypothetically speaking, I actually think it'd probably be more of a TDS-DCA hybrid as there are a few potential lands in DCA that could be duplicated that are "on the water". Below are lands I have contemplated at some point - some existing, some new, and some more realistic than...

Will a fifth gate ever be built at WDW?

True and the DisneySea name also works there because its next to Disneyland which WDW obviously doesn't have. If they did it, a different name would make sense although to be honest, I totally could see them just going whatever it's DisneySea EDIT: No different than SeaWorld really.

    Rumors. Musings. Casual.

My wife and I wanted to get a 100th Anniversary ornament this past December as a momento for a our trip but passed because the designs were just abysmal.

Will a fifth gate ever be built at WDW?

I don't think it is going to happen, at least not as things currently stand, and it probably shouldn't. They really need to significantly invest in filling, improving, maintaining, and expanding what they currently have. If it were actually feasible, I imagine you'd see DisneySea Orlando, an...

News Disney hints at more changes to come at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

At this point they might as well just build a new Frontierland fitting for 21st Century sensitivities beyond Big Thunder and re-theme all of current Frontierland as a Liberty Square extension transitioning into New Orleans. Perhaps new Frontierland can borrow from some of the more rustic...

News Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closing for refurbishment in January 2024

It needs the work. I usually am not one to critique rides too much but earlier this month it seemed like the onboard audio was poor and the lighting of the props was dim or non-existent. At least it is riding smoother than Space Mountain is.

    Fantasmic Reopening Watch

When I saw it a little over a week ago, the dragon was a go but there was no fire on the water, just a brief flame from the dragon's mouth.

WDW Advice for Experienced Visitor But First Time With a Kid

I think keeping that in mind and modifying expecations and plans accordingly is going to be the biggest challenge for us. My wife and I were hardcore when we went together....rope drop to park closing every day, doing just about everything. There were nights we'd get like 5 hours of sleep...

WDW Advice for Experienced Visitor But First Time With a Kid

Going on a party date crossed our minds but we had a hard time paying full price for fewer park hours. I think if this wasn't our first time going in a while or first time with a kid, we would've strongly considered it. Thanks for the reminder about the "passport". Our daughter will definitely...

WDW Advice for Experienced Visitor But First Time With a Kid

My wife and I are taking our 4 1/2 y.o. daughter on her first Disney (WDW) trip right after Thanksgiving. My wife and I both have been to WDW numerous times as kids and went together in 2015 (honeymoon-Coronado) and pre-Pandora 2017 (Port Orleans Riverside) but we haven't been to any Disney park...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

The only time Disney has ever been able to properly execute dinosaurs has been on the Disneyland Railroad and Universe of Energy. For some reason, they just are never successful with them, especially in films.

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Correct - like what happened at Disneyland which was executed fairly well. The northern loop actually has stuff to see. The real question is will a riverboat cruising past whatever they put back there make thematic sense - although they don't seem as concerned about that kind of consistency...
