How many days will make it cost effective?

It used to be 10 days for out if state folks, if I remember correctly. I had one in 2016-2017 and it made sense at the time because I knew I’d already break even 3 months after I activated it. I went in October, January, and April/May. I added the 3rd trip when I found a good deal on airfare...

    Pfizer Vaccine News

Hey if you want to get go right ahead. I’m not keen on it.

    Pfizer Vaccine News

I will delay getting this vaccine for as long as possible. Too much political agenda surrounding this situation.

POP prices in March - whew!

POP has increased prices over the years. I used to stay there a lot but I’ve done Music my last 2 trips and enjoyed myself.

When Did WDW Become An Extended Vacation Destination?

My first visit was in 1986. I was 11. We drove down from NJ and stayed for a week I believe. That included MK, Epcot, Cypress Gardens, River Country, and pool time at the Best Western.

    Please explain the Tiki Room

Similar, but the seats are surrounding around the birds, who are in the middle of the theatre. (Kinda like a boxing ring). It’s a cute show I always go multiple times in my trips

    Solo travelers during Covid-19

You’re not the one choosing to “take up extra space”. That’s Disney’s rules, you just have to follow them. You have just as much right to be there as every other paying guest, and you, as a solo traveler, are no less important than other guests.

    When will you return?

I’m with you 100%. I’m cruising out of Port Canaveral in February 2022 and might head to the World for a few days prior to that, but I can’t foresee myself logistically planning a trip prior to that.

    Snoring Strategy for Hotel/Room Booking

Being kept awake by someone’s snoring can be so frustrating, my sympathies as I’ve been there, it’s not easy to deal with. You and the kids will need to sleep well to get the most of your Disney trip that you’re paying a lot of money for. I think any room option that you mentioned could work...

What kind of Disney guest are you?

Usually, I rope drop every morning and stay until about 1, go back to resort to swim for a while. I get on the bus to go back to the parks around 4:30 and stay till around 9/10. On arrival day I do it differently in that I always take the 6am out of Newark and land about 8:20, head to the...

    2022 DISNEY TRIP!

Not crazy at all. 2021 is almost halfway here. I was planning on going in fall 2021 for a week but I figured it would be crazier than normal with people who may be avoiding going this fall. 2022 is the soonest I’m going back, if that.

    Masks at WDW

No. I’m not spending that kind of money and have to wear a mask. I was planning on a weeklong trip in October 2021, but that’s off the table for now.

Got home from Disney on December 25th 2019 cold/sick/flu

I hope you’re feeling better soon. ☹️ December of ‘18 I was there and the numbers coughing, hacking, sneezing and non-hand washing people I saw was disturbing. I avoided it, thankfully. I washed my hands thoroughly (not 3 seconds on one finger with no soap 😉 like too many people do), Clorox...

Near End of January is Crazy Busy?

Thank you, I will try your advice, but I’m thinking I’m going to probably hold off for now. I’m glad you got $133, that’s really not too bad at all. A lot of Brazilians tend to go end of January/early February because they are in summer vacation in their country. In January 2017 I went for a...

Near End of January is Crazy Busy?

My thought is that people are branching out from their norm and trying to find “slower” and “less expensive” times to go. I feel you though. I’ve been trying to plan a 4 or 5 day trip like a Weds to Sunday and it’s near impossible to find dates that are both available and in my comfort zone in...

    The fallacy of overcrowded parks......

In addition to what has already been mentioned, there are two things that come to my mind...strollers and larger people. The amount of strollers has increased in the parks over the last 20, 30, 40 years, in addition to people being larger than they were 20, 30, 40 years ago. Those things can...

    How scary is Mission Space?

I'm just like you, if not worse because I haven't done Barnstormer. I did MS green. The premise is that you're watching a screen and feeling like you're moving along with it. I did close my eyes a few times....just like I do on Soarin' when the glider dips way down over the Great Wall...

Walt Disney World Character Changes Rant!

I miss the White Rabbit that used to be with Alice. The last number of years they've only had him out at some ticketed events.

    Disney on a Budget

Lots of good advice has been given. My suggestions...Order kids meals at the restaurants, it’s a bit less expensive but it helps. I also swear by using Disney gift cards. I buy them ahead of time, $25 here and there, and use them for all meals and souvenirs. Ask for some as gifts for holidays...
