News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

I just had success using chrome. Reserved parks for Aug 9-14. It took over 2 hours. It looks like you need to both be logged into your Disney account and have the countdown clock reach zero. I had an IE browser with the countdown clock reaching zero, but I was not logged in and it sent me back...

    Rumor Air Disney?

It’s going to be called Peter Pan Am As the plane lifts off, pixie dust will fall on the passengers as Peter Pan’s voice is heard through the cabin saying, “here we gooooo”

Rumor Version of MaxPass coming to WDW in May?

On the bright side, decreasing the number of FP for a general admission ticket decreases it’s overall value, so I’m sure that we’ll see a marked decrease in ticket prices when this rolls out ;)

Norway Pavilion Frozen construction - Frozen Ever After ride (Part 2)

It seems to be working now. Just got Frozen and the Jungle Book show.

Norway Pavilion Frozen construction - Frozen Ever After ride (Part 2)

The night Safari has been available for a few weeks. I think the Jungle Book and Frozen are experiencing technical difficulties. "Authentically Disney"

February 2016 Disney World ticket price increases and new tiered 1 day tickets

Unless rules have changed, you are not able to do this. Without a park hopper, you are only permitted to use one ticket, in one park, per day. I learned this the hard way in 2006 :(

The Shanghai Disneyland effect on our 3.5 billion

Though I'm pretty knowledgable in economics and the other social sciences, I've never taken an official accounting or finance course and have spent my entire working life in education; so feel free rip my take on this issue: I see this huge capex expenditure as a realization/confirmation that...

    The best seat is.....

I will always wait for the front seat of EE. The views are awesome, especially at the pause just before the backwards decent where you can see the entire WDW resort for a few seconds. On top of that, you are rewarded with a much more intense backwards drop. Also, DW and I rode in the back seat...

    Poly Bungalows

And were then given an exclusive detailed presentation of the upcoming DHS makeover... I'm relatively new at this, am I able to close a thread that I started, or am I like a Dr. Frankenthread?

    Possible Frontierland expansion

While I agree with this, I'm afraid TDO would probably rather see an e-ticket bring in additional guests to meet the new capacity rather than better distribute their current guest numbers... but a fat man can still dream of wider walkways and less frenzied crowds! I was thinking more along the...

Wilderness Lodge DVC additions - Copper Creek Villas & Cabins

I've noticed that many non-DVC'ers pretty much object to most things that are DVC. They see causality between the growth of DVC over the past decade and the overall decrease in WDW resort quality. While I agree some DVC builds have been done better than others (i.e. I love Kidani, while am...

Wilderness Lodge DVC additions - Copper Creek Villas & Cabins

Maybe I haven't read enough posts, but this is the first time I remember seeing DVC used as a verb... I absolutely DVC it!

Wilderness Lodge DVC additions - Copper Creek Villas & Cabins

Though I've never stayed at them, this concept reminds me of boating past the SS treehouse villas on the sassagoula. From the river, it looks like the tree houses blend in quite well with their surrounding natural setting. Hopefully DVC can pull off a similar aesthetic with the WL Cabins.

    Poly Bungalows

Good call on checking the availability, I should have checked the DVC availability tool before posting this. It appears bungalow availability is indeed very limited... Malarkey it is!

    Poly Bungalows

I posted this in another thread, but it is probably better suited here. I've heard some anecdotal evidence that some DVC members who had booked studios at the Poly were being upgraded to bungalows, because not enough bungalows were being sold via DVC or cash. If true, I'm wondering which of...

    Grand Floridian VS Polynesian Village

IMHO I love the poly theme and the fact it is a short walk to the TTC. When you throw in trader sam's, I find it very hard to beat! However, my wife would argue that with Basin, Narcoosse's, and V&A's, the GF would be the way to go... But what does she know?!? Go Poly!!!!

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

Sorry, stopped reading after this sentence. I'm sure the rest of the post was about how sad of a statistic that is ;)

Wilderness Lodge DVC additions - Copper Creek Villas & Cabins

I'm kinda thinking the same thing in regards to just needing a bit more time to sell. The bungalows cost the same amount of points as the three bedroom suites at the Grand Floridian, which is 1174 right now for a full week. The same week costs 800 points at BWV. I'm assuming most of the big...

Wilderness Lodge DVC additions - Copper Creek Villas & Cabins

My wife visits DVC boards quite often and has been reading stories of Poly studio guests who are upgraded to bungalows at check-in because they are able to fill enough of them with DVC or cash guests. I know it is completely anecdotal, but if true, I wonder if DVC has finally found the ceiling...

Wilderness Lodge DVC additions - Copper Creek Villas & Cabins

I was at WDW three weeks ago and visited the Wilderness Lodge for the first time since 2009, and completely forgot how much I adore it's main lobby. There are so many rich details and hidden nooks and crannies to discover. I also visited the villa's common area and was extremely impressed by its...
