Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout announced for Disney California Adventure

So, any guesses on completion/reopening dates now that the time line has been moved back? TOT was DD1's favorite ride at DHS, and I was happy to hear that it didn't look like the new ride would be closed on our trip next summer to DLR. But with the moved timeline, I'm wondering if I should...

    T Rex dessert on DDP

When I went in March of 14, DH & I were able to get an order of the donuts on the dining plan.

    Toddler Advice Needed

I would say either two days at MK or one at MK & one at Epcot. Those have been our kids' favorites at those ages.

Disney confirms 'Frozen' makeover coming to Epcot's Norway Pavilion

Speaking of creepy, did you see Young Kristoff? ETA: the first shot. Where his eyes don't show up well. :)

    Character M&G Question

I know I gave Mickey a Valentine when I was a kid. Which was, oh, 35ish years ago. I'd think he'd be able to take it & later pass it off to the handler.

Princess Elena of Avalor’s Royal Welcome

I don't think her story arc has started yet. She's been rumored for about a year, with her own show as a spin off of Sofia. http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Princess_Elena

Advanced Dining 180 Day Rule Change?

The last time we went (2014), our reservation got screwed up in the system. We couldn't do 180 + 10 online, so I called in. They could see that we should be able to do it, but also see that it was locked in such a way that we couldn't do it ourselves. But they could do it over the phone. I'd...

    Advice Needed: Large Family

If you definitely all want to stay in the same room onsite, your best bet, as others have mentioned, is a 2 bedroom villa. Saratoga Springs &/or Old Key West would probably be the cheapest option for that. Otherwise, I'd consider getting your family of 5 a Family Suite at All Star Music &...

    Princess actress recognition

Our kids never seemed to notice that the princesses have different "friends" on different days. We've only ever done one meal with them on a trip, but we've always gone to the different meet and greets. DH & I have commented to each other when we see the same one on different days, though. :)...

Grossest thing you ate at the parks?

The worst meal I have had was the Chicken & Waffles at Boatwrights, about 7 years ago. Just NMS at all. Honestly, we ate at Boatwrights multiple ties that trip because DH's parents loved it, and we were staying at POR. I never found anything there to be appetizing. But the Chicken & Waffles...

Jedi Training Academy to close to reopen later this year as 'Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple'

With the "Trials of the Temple" title, I'd guess the Inquisitor, rather than the new one, but you never know!

CRT - prepaid, but want to use dining plan?

We've had that issue in the past. If you don't mind having the charge on your account now & getting the money back later, just tell your server when you get there that you want to change the payment option to the dining plan. They'll then refund you.

    Stroller Decorations?

We've used a brightly colored scarf or headband wrapped around the handle. (The headband is now basically a permanent part of the stroller handle.) :)

Anything from disney descendants in the parks?

Watched it with my kids yesterday. All i could think was, "This is just Ever After High, with slightly less revealing clothes!" And glad to know I'm not the only one wondering who the other parent of the villains' kids was. Really, Jafar doesn't have a son without there being a mom somewhere...

18 months or 2 yr old?? Wait or not to wait.....

My oldest two each got to go when they turned 2 1/2. Due to timing, my youngest went when she was 1 1/2. For us, I think 1 1/2 was easier because she was still full time in diapers. The older ones were in the early stages of potty training, so didn't like being put back in Pull ups, and...

    Maybe it's just my kids...

We don't do afternoon breaks, but we also leave the parks earlier than most. We get there at rope drop & rarely stay after supper, just because we're ALL worn out. But that style touring works for us. (And while I've tried to get my gang to stay for the fireworks a couple of times, they're...

Help me, I'm Decision Impaired (How to Get to Disney)

I'm from near that area. We've always flown except our last trip, when our kids were 8, 5, & 1. Instead of doing the wee hours thing, we left about 4 in the afternoon, so we had a defined break for supper coming up & then were able to go pretty much with just a bathroom break or two from that...
