Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

MMRR is Toontown’s version of the El Capitan in Hollywood, which is directly across the street from the Chinese Theatre. So essentially, the east coast and west coast versions of the ride face each other in reality. I think that’s pretty clever.

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Disneyland opening reports/reviews

Hate to break it to you, but the hurricane is not making landfall in Florida until early next week. It’s not ruining opening weekend at DHS. Disney is also incredibly experienced in preparing for hurricanes. Generally speaking, they are open the very next day after a hurricane passes through.

Rumor New ride coming to Animal Kingdom. D23 announcement expected.

I’d much prefer a Jungle Book ride in Asia over zootopia, and the coaster in Dinoland.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

In fact, IOAs only major expansion pad will eventually be the lake. I could see Uni building a central island and connecting all the lands via bridges to the center (aka DisneySea style).

News Coronado Springs Expansion - Gran Destino Tower

The theme of the resort isn’t in question, is it? Your knowledge of Mexican history however seems elementary. Not a big deal, really. In fact, generations of people have learned a thing or two about other cultures, including their nuances that aren’t relegated to typical stereotypes, from...

News Coronado Springs Expansion - Gran Destino Tower

Understanding the historical relevance of surrealism in Mexico should help to understand that the theming of the resort is not a stretch, not out of place, and not an effort by Disney imagineers to “fool” tourists. But I get it, facts can be stubborn.

News Coronado Springs Expansion - Gran Destino Tower

Dali once said after a visit to Mexico City, “I’m never going back to Mexico. I can’t stand a country more surrealist than my paintings.” It’s also relevant to mention that some of the major surrealists of the era — Varo, Leonora Carrington, Wolfgang Paalen, André Breton — moved to Mexico...

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

The FL mansion queue is one of the best in either park. It sets the scene for the experience to come a bit more so than in CA (both are enjoyable). Just celebrate the differences and move on.

I fail to see how the Dutch Revival MK mansion looks dilapidated.

What WDW does worse than the DLR

The poster doesn’t sound like someone who has actually been to DAK.

Why I think DCA did not have much of a California Theme to begin with

You’ve clearly never been to Florida if you think that it’s nothing but swamps. Ironically, Disney seems to be doubling down on the Florida element these days rather than its previous obsession with California (see Disney Springs, for instance).

Why I think DCA did not have much of a California Theme to begin with

If I recall, Walt Disney found swamps compelling enough to include them on an original attraction at DL.

What WDW does worse than the DLR

DAK and MK most certainly “cut it”.

Why I think DCA did not have much of a California Theme to begin with

Disney MGM Studios was always a much better nod to California than DCA ever was. It’s remnants are still so.
