Is a Disney cruise worth it?

They're still going to charge the uncorking fee. The one and only time I've ever had the fee waived was on our one-year wedding anniversary cruise back in Jan. 2014. However, the bottle we brought was a Tattinger bought on the Disney Fantasy and branded with the Inaugural Sailings 2012-13. I...

Fans call on Disney to ban raunchy shirts from parks after viral post

As much as I'd love to get on here and read about an updated dress code for WDW that would actually be enforced, I also get that there is no incentive whatsoever for CMs to do ever do much about it. It's just unfortunate some people have no concept of what is or isn't appropriate for a family...

Disney forcing us to $pend even more at their re$ort$

The only way Disney Parks & Resorts works out for my family is by being DVC members. Without those perks and discounts, it would be financially impossible for us to vacation there anymore.

Is a Disney cruise worth it?

Is Disney worth it? After 9 sailings for me, I say absolutely, yes. I've sailed Carnival multiple times and my wife had been on a bunch of Princess cruises. In my experience, it's much cheaper to board many other cruise lines. But by the time you do all the add-ons (soda package, dining upgrade...

    Masks at WDW

I voted Yes. My thinking is simple - If the performers wearing giant headgear and full body costuming can hack it, I can tough it out to simply enjoy the park. It's really not that big of a deal, and I think people are blowing masks out of a proportion because literally everything is so...

What Disney character do you wish to meet but aren't seen at all?

I rarely ever do meet and greets, but Cheshire Cat would be amazing. I know the costume exists, but I've never seen it, and I don't know of anyone that has seen it at WDW.

    Awfully quiet lately. . .

My wife and I just sailed on the Wonder from Jan. 10-17, and it was the best of our four cruises to date. It was also our first time ever to visit any of the five ports we had - Grenada, Barbados, Martinique, Antigua and St. Kitts. As exhausting as it all was with so much to do, we'd turn around...

Major 2015 Pirates of the Caribbean Refurbishment Watch/Rumor.

Same here. I didn't really care much for 2 and 3, so I thought it was the best one since the original. Plus Ian McShane (Blackbeard) was a pretty good villain. He's no Barbosa, but he was good.

Major 2015 Pirates of the Caribbean Refurbishment Watch/Rumor.

Just curious, but do people generally not like Stranger Tides? That's what I'm gathering from this thread, anyway. I thought it was decent.

Watto's Grotto to reopen at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Oh my poor bank account... Well at least I can knock out Christmas shopping on my October trip!

Fortune Magazine: Disney's tech innovation is my nightmare

I remember when 7DMT first opened and didn't have a FP queue, I was in shock at how fast the line actually moved. Mind you, we were lined up nearly back to Dumbo, but we were able to get on the ride in less than an hour. It really made me think, are fast pass lines the problem to begin with...

    Walt's office gone from DHS

One Man's Dream was cool, but the more I think on it, I believe they're doing the right thing for DHS as a whole. That park needs a major overhaul and an actual identity. Now, we're finally getting all that. Star Wars and Pixar are going to be great.

    DCL Revises Alcohol Policy

Looks like it's back to re-bottling things for me. I'm not surprised, just disappointed that they changed it so suddenly. I hate drinking on the ship (any ship, not just DCL) because you basically get mixer with a splash of liquor. Except for one time on the Magic, I had the most awesome...

Duffy meet and greet in Walt Disney World's Epcot will end October 3rd this fall

That would be awesome. And I totally agree on Berlioz and Toulouse! Then again, my cats are all named after the Aristocats, so I very much would love more of them in the parks!

Whoa! So it exists! Yeah, count me in for Cheshire Cat in Epcot!

Major refurbishment of the Flying Fish Cafe beginning in February 2016

My wife and I had our anniversary dinner at Flying Fish, and the food was great, but it was definitely in need of a facelift. I'm excited to see what comes of it. I really hope they improve the lighting inside, more than anything. It was very dark in more than a few corners of the dining area...

Duffy meet and greet in Walt Disney World's Epcot will end October 3rd this fall

I guess Duffy will have to hop the first Duffy bus back to Tokyo... Yes, that is a very real thing in Japan. And it's upholstered in full on teddy bear theme. I just hope the Japanese tourists who coordinate their daily outfits with their Duffy bear (I've seen this many, many times) don't...

Ellen's voice is back in the ride... but her animatronic is probably gone for good.

Everyone has *their* Doctor. Mine is the Fourth. That said, I always felt Eccleston was a good Doctor hindered by horrific writing. I mean, there were some terrible episodes in that run (seriously, two-parter for farting body snatching aliens?). And I enjoyed Matt Smith. I thought he was a...

Are they only airing Tenth Doctor episodes? I guess I'd be surprised if they skipped Nine, considering Rose crosses over as both their companions. I remember seeing a Doctor Who marathon on XD and was shocked I wasn't watching BBC America.
