In what I think is a great move for the ESPN brand, Disney could very well be launching a new over the top ESPN subscription targeted at cord-cutters. I think this move positions Disney to protect the brand from massive cord cutting in the cable industry. With all the sports rights ESPN has locked up, going straight to the consumer with an internet streaming service sounds like a money maker.

Give me the big broadcasters, ESPN and a couple of other channels and I'm happy with my TV content choices.
