Welcome to Epcot 2.0: Re-imagneering for the 21st Century in this blog I will share my ideas and plans to re-imagine and restore Epcot to its former glory that made the park great and unique for guests and fans. Because I feel that Epcot needs a major re-do in order to update and expand the park, improve capacity, enchance the theme and improve quality to bring Epcot into the 21st century and keep guests in Epcot all day. My plan for Epcot will fix 4 major problems Quality, Capacity, Theming and Story and help Epcot stay true to its original theme and message to show guests the future and cultures of the world. My plan will fix, update and expand Future World and World Showcase for the 21st Century and show guests the future, history and cultures of the World just like they used to do in the early years of Epcot Center. I would love to hear your ideas and feedback about improving Epcot for the 21st Century and I will begin with Spaceship Earth and Future World Plaza.

Opening Day Dedication Speech
To all who come to this place of joy, hope and friendship, welcome.

Epcot Center is inspired by Walt Disney's creative genius. Here, human achievements are celebrated through imagination, the wonders of enterprise and Concepts of that promises new and exciting benefits for all.

May Epcot Center entertain, inform and inspire. And above all, may it instill a new sense of belief and pride in man's ability to shape a World that offers hope to People everywhere.

Step Inside the 180 foot Spaceship Earth for a Journey through the history of communication and how it will change the world of mankind in the future. I will give Spaceship Earth a major update with a New Audio Narration by Morgan Freeman, two new scenes to improve the descent experience ( The Future and Return to Present Day), Restored Audio Score featuring a New Version of Tomorrow's Child, updated Special effects, updated show scenes, updated and new AA Fiqures, updated audio, updated projector systems, 6 Digital Screens, New 4 Person vechicles with touchscreens(2 vechicles have ADA Transfer doors with a capacity of 2 guests), Updated signuage, Rennovated Loading Area, Rennovated Unloading Area, Rennovated Quene Area with Interactive Elements to ehance the story of Spaceship Earth, Updated and Replaced Ride Track to make Spaceship Earth smoother and comfortable for guests.

A few things I'd do:
- Get rid of the "in space" bit at the top. It's neat, I'll grant you that, but it doesn't really have anything to do with communications or the future of it. If there were a satellite up there, which there was, originally, then maybe, but that's a huge space that could showcase something like the future being all wireless for everything or something of that order.
- Hide the track better. There are sections with the way the ride twists and turns, where the track is visible and it can take away from it a bit.
- I'd get rid of the interactive screens but do like the idea of descending back into present-day, which could be represented through different props.

Re: The Land

Not that I disagree with anything you said, but it's close to the perfect pavilion to me. It does need to be updated, new paint, etc. I wish they'd get the balloons working on the ceiling again.

The thing I like about The Land is that you go into it. There's a restaurant. There's two attractions. There's some backstage stuff. There's a seating area. It's not just an attraction stuck out on the periphery like Test Track or Mission: Space. It's something that envelopes you.

Imagination, if I remember correctly from my childhood, used to be like that. Living Seas did, too. To me, that was how it was supposed to be, something more than just a ride.

I would like to see several new attractions within the future world area. Using the concept from Alien Encounter and basing it on an entirely new experience would be a good start. Tron would make a great thrill ride for Future World however given the makeover of Test Track both rides are very similar in thrills and overal visuals. In 2016 most major video game companies will be releasing their own versions of a virtual reality headset, companies like Microsoft, Sony, HTC and Oculus Rift. If you have been keeping up with the news this old concept now has the technology to make it fully marketable and believeable to consumers. This should be the next step in video game and entertainment technology. These headsets could be used in a great number of ideas within the theme park concept. Aparently there are already several parks around the world experimenting with the idea. One rumour in particular is that Universal wants to use this idea in combination with a rollercoaste for a brand new Back to the Furure attraction. Now keep in mind this is only a rumour, but if the idea ever does come true it could make one heck of a thrill ride. Universal comes up with some pretty cool attractions every now and again, but lets see what Disney could do with this because we know it could be something truely incredible.

I know this will come across harsh, but many of these ideas are not bringing it into the 21st century. Instead, you're taking us back to 1980s Epcot. I agree with Brad. The current Land pavilion is a great example of how to bring a dated pavilion into the 21st century. It isn't perfect, but it's close. I'd really like to see each pavilion become a mini themed land rather than just one attraction.
