Disney Misheard Lyrics

In Disney's "Newsies" movie, during the opening song, the lyrics go:
"Try any bank or bum or barber, they almost all knows how to read."

My youngest son thought it was the following:
"Try any bank or bum or barber, they almost taught us how to read."

When we heard him sing that we burst into laughter. Now we purposely sing it that way!

Nazivania! Mama ditch the baba!

The translated lyrics are almost as comical as any misheard lyric for this song...

Below is the original lyrics (in Zulu) and their translation...

Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba [Here comes a lion, Father]
Sithi uhm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion]
Nants ingonyama bagithi baba [Here comes a lion, Father]
Sithi uhhmm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion]
Ingonyama [A lion]
Siyo Nqoba [We're going to conquer]
Ingonyama [A lion]
Ingonyama nengw' enamabala [A lion and a leopard come to this open place]

Yes... the whole opening song in "Lion King" is really just saying... "yeah, this movie is about lions..." (nothing more profound or insightful or plot progressing... just.. "hey, look, a lion")

Okay, I think I prefer the "we don't eat chihuahuas" version.

The song the Spectromen from Spectromagic sang always were hard to understand especially during the early years of the parade from 1991-1995 where they had robotish voices.

It can be heard from1:03-01:16 mark of the video.
