Thank you, everyone, for your quick and thoughtful replies. I was able to book Jiko and am looking forward to dining there for the first time. Instead of always passing Jiko, on our way to The Mara, and wondering about dining under the blue sky and white birds, we will now be able to experience it.

Thanks again!

I agree that California Grill is a good choice, I would add the Flying Fish Cafe at the Boardwalk, which is also very nice. The food is great and it's romantic, you can also take a stroll around the Boardwalk afterwards.
Flying Fish food is great but it is not even close to being intimate. Usually very loud and busy because of the design of room.

You're right, but I still wanted to mention it since DH and I had an amazing evening there a couple of years ago. It's loud, but not nearly as much as most of in-parks restaurants!:)
