Prices...of the past?

LOL I remember getting a glass of wine for about 2.50 in EPCOT, but then again only 2 parks, no water parks but hopping was included in the ticket prices.

Can't say I've ever seen a cohesive purpose built historical listing of prices, but you do have a few options. 1) Dig backwards through old news postings and photo tours, plenty of menu pictures from the last few years. 2) Try using Archive.org Wayback Machine here -> https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://allears.net/din/dining.htm and looking at some of the archived pages. I don't know of any site that would go back further than AllEars as they were the go to place for menus online for years.

Pulled up a menu from 2007 for SciFi, and it shows the burger was $11.99 back then, while menus from 2014 show burgers at $15.99 or 16.99. So a $4 or $5 increase (assuming the burgers and sides were the same)

I was looking at the Sci Fi Diner and darned if those prices seem to be sky rocketing. I was curious if anyone has a way to see old menus. I wpuld wager burgers there have gone up 40 percent in the last 10 yrs
40% over 10 years works out to about 3.5% annually. That's not too bad. The bigger problem is that wages have increased by less than 2% annually over the last decade, perhaps the worst wage performance since the Great Depression. For most families, this means that a meal at WDW feels like it costs roughly 10-20% more than it used to.

Median income is down 3% since Big O started.... Granted not all is fault... There is a long line, but yeah it's an issue.... No sure how it's a recovery but I .....

It was like 18.99 on the wdw site. Great digging though thank you.
I think the biggest culprit of food increases is the DDP, charge 19 bucks for a burger to justify that dining plan. If you notice, entree prices have skyrocketed, but I think the apps have not so much because they would be add ons if you were on DDP.

Our 2000 park tickets INCLUDED the No Expiration FREE. Now, they want DOUBLE the price of the ticket to add No Expiration or you lose any unused days. This is highly inconvenient for my own family and it's just plain unfair of them. Two years ago you could add the No Exp to your tickets via the website, now you have to call to add it on. Seems obvious to me they're phasing it out completely.

Yeah- when I look at how much my weekly groceries have gone up...from drought, fuel cost spikes, various animal illnesses that have killed off mass amounts of livestock, etc. - it's not a surprise that WDW has increased prices as well. Yes, I'm sure DDP hasn't helped, but WDW hasn't ever been cheap for anything and we're all paying a lot more for everything everywhere because of the points noted. I mean, if I'm paying $50 more per week in groceries than I was 5 years ago, surely WDW is also responding to increased costs as well.

Umm.... they phased it out with the last price increase.

No, it's still available. You have to call to add it on.

Read here -> http://www.wdwmagic.com/other/magic...ticket-price-increases-effective-tomorrow.htm or here -> http://blog.touringplans.com/2015/02/21/walt-disney-world-ticket-price-increase-breakdown/ if you don't believe Steve. Or check out any of the resellers like Undercover Tourist -> https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/walt-disney-world-resort/#tickets and notice a distinct lack of no-expiration tickets. They removed it from the WDW site a while ago, but completely discontinued it this past increase.

Everythings increasing at our restaurants at home too, not just the food at Disney. Not much ever decreases in price. Every time I plan the next trip, I'm increasing the amount I save and the effort it takes doubles. Oh to have the prices of a trip 10 years ago. Still, I'm lucky to be able to once again afford to go back.
