Trip Report COMPLETED: Not even first world problems can hold us back: Live Trip Report

Very brief pre trip report can be seen here:

We left Tifton around 4:20am only stopping once along the way for some spicy chicken biscuits. We arrived inside the bubble by 8:00 and headed straight for WL! We arrived at the lodge and dropped off some luggage for bell services:

I parked the car and we made our way for check-in. Being that it was barely 8:30, we just wanted to make sure we got a text telling us our room was ready. After about 6ish minutes with a wonderful CM, Sarita, she told us they would text us when our room was ready and asked to confirm our number and email. In the time it took us to say hi and confirm our contact info our room became available!! She arranged for bell service to bring the luggage up and we went up to check out the room. Let's do this!

Love the detail in the elevator:

We had a standard view room and if you didn't look down, we had a pretty great view:

Once we were done with the room we made our way to the boat to take on MK for a bit:

First thing we had to do is visit guest services to purchase our APs and TiW card. Seems like many folks were having issues with bands/passes because the line for GS was pretty long. After about 15 minutes in line and another 15 minutes with an exceptional CM, we were armed with linked APs and a TiW card. We quickly made some FP+ pics for BTM, SM, and Buzz.

The DW says it feels like a 6 for the crowds, I was thinking 7.5:

Of the way to BTM we couldn't pass up a 5 minute wait for pirates:

Hit up HM on our way to SM via FL:

We're still shaking off the ride photo rust here but don't worry, we'll step up our game:

Lunch time, Pecos Bill is what it is but had to try the new waffle fries, these are the BLT ones:

Disney says $8, but they really should be priced around $5. They tasted pretty good but we wouldn't do them again due to the cost : portion ratio.

All filled up we decided to head back to the lodge for some pool time and rest before we hit up AK and then our ADRs at The Wave. Enjoyed these by the pool:

Island moonshine on the right on the right
Captains mai tai on the left.
Both were ok.

We're headed to AK now the dinner at The Wave followed by MK til 2am for dessert...

Ive got some time to kill (60ish minutes) in the SDMT queue so I can give a dinner update. It was Wave time. This would be a first time experience for the family. Reviews and blogs praised it so we figured we would give it a shot. Dinner started out with the bread service. The bread was decent, something you would expect but what sets it off was the insanely good salted butter:

DW and I decided to share a beer flight to see which beer we would share:

The brown won us over:

Our server said we couldn't go wrong with anything and was she right! The DW went with the seared grouper on a bed of rice. She and the DD said it was outstanding. I'm not a fish guy so I took their word. I opted for the gnocchi with braised short ribs. Dang! That was some good eats!! The DD went with the kids pasta. We all agreed we would have to go back to the Wave on a future visit.

After the butterfly fun we hopped on the monorail to MK to get some lunch. When we exchanged trains at the TTA our new train had some maintenance issues and we had to hop off and wait for monirail black to come save us. Of course we arrive at MK with 5 minutes until our LT ADR. No worries, we made it and it was 3 Feasts with water please! The food was pretty good and we'd do it again

After lunch we decided to head back for an hour of bike time on the trail. This was pretty fun! We saw deer eating that allowed us to get about 20 foot away before it walked back into the brush to give us a good stare down. After biking we hit the pool for an hour and now it's time to get our EC on as we graze the WS for dinner.
Also, back in September I got some apple moonshine from the American pavilion( http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/...-now-with-wild-africa-trek-pics.890079/page-2 ) turns out WL carries a few more flavors so I decided to try the strawberry. Not as good as the apple but still fun to sip on.
More shine

So after a ride on LWTL we decided to hit the WS. Along the way we meet up with a cute little family:

Not overly impressed with the F&G food booth options we decide to dine at the best QS option in the bubble, Tangierine Cafe. I went with the Lamb platter and the DW went with the Veggie platter:

We decided to skip Illuminations and get another round of TT in. Worry not, our standard view room at WL gave us plenty of fireworks to watch courtesy of MK:

Kidani move in day! Sent our luggage to bell service for transfer to Kidani. WL has been a nice stay. We may give it another go in the future on points. For a standard room it was pretty nice and the Wishes view was great!

Time to get our breakfast on!

I still prefer the old lobby:

'Ohana once meant family, now it means standing in line for breakfast so you can wait in lounge for breakfast:
