He hasn't been to Disney since grade 8.

I did very subtley mention to him that he cannot transport weed across the border.
He went berzerk and asked if I was nuts. Of course he can't take weed across the border, he has zero interest in a full cavity search.

He seemed genuinely appalled that I would even ask.
So yay, 10 days of a weed free son! Glad he's in a separate room. :)

Border schmorder, if he does his research, there are plenty of places he can find it down here... :cautious:

Yes, I always tear up during regular Sunday services. Put me in God's House for any occasion, and I am most likely going to cry.

I cry a bit when I vote, because I feel so grateful for the privilege and freedom to choose the crook who is going to pick my pocket for the next four years. Plus, the advanced polls (I always vote in the advanced polls) are mainly held in the Anglican Church nearby.

P.S. - Just kidding about the crook thing. I am grateful for the freedom to vote, and am ever mindful of the sacrifices that tens of thousands of beautiful young men (and their families) made to afford me that privilege. I am always humbled in that voter's box, and am honoured to be a citizen of this great country.

Oh yeah, I choke up during the playing of O Canada too.

I must admit O Canada can cause me to tear up. It's such a beautiful anthem.

I love the original Maple Leaf Forever. It's a beautiful peace of music and the lyrics just really get me.

And may those ties of love be ours
Which discord cannot sever,
And flourish green o'er freedom's home
The Maple Leaf forever!

That's some great stuff.

In days of yore, from Britain's shore,
Wolfe, the dauntless hero, came
And planted firm Britannia's flag
On Canada's fair domain.
Here may it wave, our boast, our pride
And, joined in love together,
The thistle, shamrock, rose entwine
The Maple Leaf forever!

Chorus:
The Maple Leaf, our emblem dear,
The Maple Leaf forever!
God save our Queen and Heaven bless
The Maple Leaf forever!

At Queenston Heights and Lundy's Land,
Our brave fathers, side by side,
For freedom, homes and loved ones dear,
Firmly stood and nobly died;
And those dear rights which they maintained,
We swear to yield them never!
Our watchword evermore shall be
"The Maple Leaf forever!"

Chorus

Our fair Dominion now extends
From Cape Race to Nootka Sound;
May peace forever be our lot,
And plenteous store abound:
And may those ties of love be ours
Which discord cannot sever,
And flourish green o'er freedom's home
The Maple Leaf forever!

Chorus

On merry England's far famed land
May kind heaven sweetly smile,
God bless old Scotland evermore
and Ireland's Em'rald Isle!
And swell the song both loud and long
Till rocks and forest quiver!
God save our Queen and Heaven bless
The Maple Leaf forever!

Chorus

hold on, you .. cried.. when going to regular sunday services? o_O

I know we all cry when voting..
because we're in fear about how awful our life are going to be.. because all the candidates are downright depressingly stupid.

I tear up in church from time to time. It might be because of a particularly moving sermon or because of a beautiful hymn. It's also really moving when we have an infant baptism and the pastor carries the baby down the aisle as the congregation sings Jesus Loves Me.

He won't have a car, and the GF does not approve.
Besides, he doesn't smoke a "joint". He uses a bong.
Hard to get that on a plane without raising a few eyebrows.
so.. hold on..
he's getting a free ride to disney, in a private room with his gf..and he's complaining about a car.. and his bong?
