Mr. Speaker, Could the right honorable Chairman (Jdm) please elaborate on the available contest slots for this year and explain the goals of this years conversationalists? Or in other words what do the Conversationalists hope to achieve in 2015?

The right honorable Chairman still has not answered what the Conversationalist hope to achieve this year and what the members here can do to help.

(I'm talking like this because I like the British Parliamentary system and procedure).
Well, I'm not really the "right honorable chairman" voted by the group...that would be LG. But I'd say our goals are to get into ICS Weekends, while maintaining a leisurely presence on the board through competition (ICS Tournament II) and open brainstorming. (along with integrating SYWTBAI successfully)

EDIT: Here it is in LG's words...
1. Inclusion of the SYWTBAI community.
2. Maintain a series of high quality, high energy competitions.
3. Continue the tradition of excellence that is this online community.
4. Coordinate an overall points champion at the end of the calendar year.
5. Hear and act upon concerns raised by members of the community.

There is more "procedure" in our system. Commentary such as happened a few years ago which led to congressional censure for one member during the State of the Union (google it) would be apropos in the House of Commons in both the UK and Australia.

When it comes to legislative debate, the US is far more rigid than the previous two systems, at least as far as our House of Representatives (which was based on the House of Commons) is concerned.

There definitely is, ours is very rigid and restricts...lively debate.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. On behalf of the 2015 ICS Conversationalists, I would like to formally announce the new:

ICS Newsletter

This newsletter will help fill the gaps between this year's conversationalists and the general public on the Imagineering forum. For more information, read below.

Who: Every newsletter will be written by a different conversationalist. For the rest of the year, you'll see each of us write two newsletters over the course of the next few months. As a preview of who will be writing in the near future, see the schedule below.

What: The ICS Newsletter will showcase everything from the latest happenings in competitions, spotlighted brainstorming or armchair Imagineering threads, news from the Conversationalists and the upcoming schedule for the ICS

When: The ICS Newsletter will be posted every other Sunday for the rest of the year.

Where: Whoever is writing the newsletter that week will post it here, in the Town Hall thread.

Why: As Conversationalists, we feel that it's our job to inform the entire Imagineering Community and receive their opinions on our decisions or how things are "run" over the course of the year. We want everyone to be able to have a say in this community and this newsletter will be the way we deliver information to the general population.

Writers writing within the next few months:

March 1: @jdmdisney99
March 15: @Zweiland
March 29: @TheOriginalTiki
April 12: @Voxel
April 26: @RMichael21

We're excited to share the future with all of you and on behalf of the 2015 ICS Conversationalists, good night!

TAFI Newsletter: March 1st, 2015

Introduction:
How far we've come. It's amazing to scroll through this forum and compare the buzzing atmosphere to what was once a ragtime group of armchair creators. When I joined this board, the Imagineer forum was almost stagnant. The likes of @stitchcastle and @mharringtonweren't posting as much, and amazing competitions such as "The Imagineer" and "The League of Dreamers" were long gone. In marched a new group of Imagineers, ready to share their concepts with the world. And with the community still growing today, we have reached a renaissance.

Highlights:
*
"The Sole Imagineer Competition" is pressing full steam ahead. Just recently, the two teams merged, separating the final eight contestants as individuals for the rest of the contest. Yesterday, the first challenge post-merge came to a close. englanddg was eliminated in a close Imagineer's Council, as his Lucasfilm Studios concept didn't live up to those golden Hollywood expectations.

Spotlights:
*
The "2015 Forum Logo Competition" is still accepting entries! Help set up our identity for this wonderful year!
* Elsewhere on the forum, "The Imagineer Workshop" is open for all to teach and learn the tools needed to cleanly complete your Imagineering concepts.
* @MANEATINGWREATH has a wonderful brainstorming thread going called "Disneyland Australia, Open Brainstorming". There's a lot of participation going on in there with efforts to bring Disney down under.
* "Refurbing Disneyland Resort Paris" is a thread by @orlando678-, where he's recently been sharing his bold ideas for a complete overhaul of Walt Disney Studios Park.

Media:
*
The latest "Tribal Council" podcast on the "So You Want to Be An Imagineer?" YouTube channel is up!
* By @Vipraa for their "Walt Disney Studios" expansion on "The Sole Imagineer"...
waltdisneystudiosland-map-jpg.84661

Conclusion:
And there we have it, folks. The first forum newsletter in the books! Make sure to keep up with the latest competitions and open brainstorms! And remember everybody...Imagineering's just plain fun!

:D
