Making our 1st trip west this April. We're currently booked at the DLR. I thought this would be the best choice as we wanted to be wrapped up in the feel of Disney. However, in doing some research, it seems I might have made a mistake. There are 5 of us so I'm thinking the bunk bed room at GC might be more comfortable. Also, with the kids, we'll be taking a few breaks in the afternoon. Is the walk to and from GC to the parks much shorter?

If you want to save time on walking, GCH is the way to go. If you don't mind the stroll or monorail, DLH feels bigger and more relaxed in my opinion. GCH is usually a bit pricier than DLH as well.

I say stay at DLH but eat at Storytellers in the GCH for the character breakfast.

Of course goofy's kitchen at DLH is also an awesome buffet.
