There are a lot of restaurants on I-Drive. One of my favorite restaurants is Nile Ethiopian Restaurant, which is across the street from Magical Midway (carnival-type rides).

I would recommend the I-Ride Trolley for getting around I-Drive, if your destination is longer than walking distance. It will take you all the way up and down the length of I-Drive.

The theme parks that you could get to via I-Ride Trolley would be Universal Orlando, Wet 'n Wild, and SeaWorld. There are also other attractions that you can get to via the I-Ride Trolley such as various mini golf locations, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe it or Not, etc.

If your hotel has a complimentary shuttle to Disney, that would probably be your best bet. Otherwise, you would have to take a taxi.

Nile is so good. An important detail is that there are no utensils, so you eat with your hands, using the injera bread as your utensil. It's never crowded in there.

OP and anyone else who is interested, you may want to check out this website, as it will give you information on all the businesses (attractions, shopping, dining, Convention Center) on I-Drive.

What hotel are you staying at? Since the hotel offers a shuttle service to Disney...I find out the schedule for the shuttles. Some pick you up and take you to the parks, while others travel to other hotels to pick up other guests and sometimes only offer an AM drop off and a PM pick up. If you don't like the shuttle schedules and you can wing it financially...I would try getting a rental car for the time you are there. Enterprise rental car has a good deal for an Economy for a week is $191.00 tax INCLUDED. It helps if you are a member of their rewards program to get this price! all you have to do is sign up for it and then make your reservation. What are your dates?

International Drive has A LOT to offer...Titanic Experience, CSI Experience, Wet n Wild, Fun Spot, mini golf places, and A TON of discounted shopping as well as major name brand restaurants. Peabody hotel across the street from Orlando Convention Center has the PEABODY DUCKS and its free! The are escorted on the red carpet from an elevator at 11am to the main fountain and splash down until around 5pm when they are escorted back to their 3rd floor $1million penthouse! NO JOKE...$1 Million dollars for a penthouse for ducks!!! Check out youtube videos and see how cute they really are!

Every time I've been I stayed in international drive however had a rental car. My brother has been and stated on international and said he didn't mind the shuttles and i rider is it? But they would be always rushing back to catch the bus or hotel shuttle and actually missed a fair few attractions! I'm going back next year with boyfriend but he will only be 20 so can't rent a car, I looked at most hotels on international and some have the shuttle schedules on the page, most only take you to epcot though and again have certain pick up times. We have booked best western lake Buene vista. Stayed at best Western gateway in June on international and wouldn't recommend. The best western on lake buena has shuttles that run every half a hour starting a hour before opening times and finishes a hour after closing times in the parks. Also takes you to every park including water parks and downtown disney is walking distance. I was worried about transport as I would of been used to a car but I feel perfectly fine with this method. Also knowing that we are in the downtown area we can easily get a cab if shuttle is busy! Best of luck, hope this helped!

TuTu Tango. Bahama Breeze. For a slightly more upscale experience, Funky Monkey or Fat Fish Blue in Pointe Orlando (I hear good things about Opa as well).

If you have kids, Wonder Works is worth a half a day.

For grown-ups, the Ice Bar is a lot of fun, one of a kind experience.
