Have you ever been evacuated off of a Disney ride?

Anyway, I have been to Disney 21 time and never evacuated off of a ride. I have been stuck for example just before launching on space mountain for 45 minutes. This was pre-cell phone so we could not tell those waiting for us what the problem was. Good news was we got to ride the whole ride twice since we hadn't launched and they let us go again since we were stuck in the vehicles.
Now my son on the other hand... In August we had an extra fast pass for Maelstrom. It was the first year he actually rode it. So we let him go on it again by himself (he is 15). Pretty soon I get a text on my phone telling me that he is stuck right in front of the troll before you go down the hill backwards and it was dark. He said cast members kept coming by and telling them someone would be with them soon. A maintenance guy pulled them forward so they didn't go down the hill and some kids was screaming. He was not very happy. I thought he would be mad when I told him that will be his last memory of Maelstrom forever but he thought that was cool.

We were evacuated off of the Peoplemover this past Friday. Took more than 30 minutes for them to come to our car. We were lucky, it was a good spot to watch the parade. Evacuated through a utility stairway and given a Thrill Rides FP usable at any time at any Eticket ride.
Years ago we were evacuated from Space Mountain. It's a bit of a hike dozen from near the top.

Dinosaur was the ride I was evacuated from as well. The car seemed to shake for awhile while the lights were still off. Someone in our time rover said, "we'd better get moving because those dinosaurs should be catching up by now." The group I was with was also friendly so that helped pass the time and we actually had some fun with it. I was surprised on how sticky the floor was when we were walking out.

We sat through the final scene of COP when it failed to rotate, we decided that we were walking out despite the CMs best efforts to keep everyone in their seats
We were riding Kraken at SeaWorld when they stopped the ride at the top of the initial climb. A young female (prob in her teens) was petrified and crying in the front row of the ride vehicle. It was stopped to allow her off and then she had to face the steep stairs back to ground level

I was evacuated through the old version of test track. It has started to lightening quite bad out and we evacuated from the spot after the first break test. We got to walk through the whole building, it was pretty cool. We also received fast passes that were good for quite a while, it was close to illuminations/closing time when this happened to me. The fastpasses were different from any other I have received from a broken down ride before. We went into the ride from the gift shop and waited on the side people usually exit from. We got to skip the movie and went straight into the cars. I felt kind of guilty skipping the line like that.

Evacuated off Test Track- and the night before I saw people being evacuated from Splash Mtn. They gave us paper fastpasses to return for TT later but I hear it was down most of the day (never used the pass, had to go HOME)
I broke Winnie the Pooh my last trip in September. Well not me actually. I ride the ADA/wheelchair car and the door to let me out broke. It slides open on both sides. CMs couldn't get both sides open. So I had them send me around a couple times while they waited for the right maintenance guys to arrive and get me out. I thought it would be better for other guests if I just went around the loop and let them load up the other vehicles.
Unfortunately just as they were sending me past the last checkpoint the entire computer shut down. The only way to restart it was to evacuate everyone off the ride. To do that with a wheelchair, they needed to push me back to the regular unloading area.
4 very strong Maintenance guys showed up to do the job. It wasn't that hard to push the vehicle. We were only about 20 feet from the exit. The difficult part was getting those doors to slide open. They had to crack open the access panels and reach in to pull it apart. Took them about 45 minutes to get that dang door open. Lots of sweat and hard work for them. I felt so bad for the guys. To get me out the finally had to just break the door mechanism.
I wasn't annoyed or anything. I had my cell phone to entertain me and we weren't rushing to any other plans. They gave us a bunch of Reentry Passes and some ice cream vouchers for our trouble. I think they were just glad we weren't those problem guests who got all huffy or had a medical emergency.
Come to think of it I got stuck on that ride once before. About 3 years ago. Then I missed the fireworks. Different problem caused the ride shut down. They couldn't evacuate me as quickly as other guests because the wheelchair car needs to be evacuated at that one exit area. I was less thrilled then, but again not a problem guest. I don't see the point in making CMs jobs harder. It's not their fault a ride is temperamental.
I had more problems evacuating the river rapids ride in Busch Gardens Williamsburg. That involved me walking about 20 feet on a narrow pier then being carried the rest of the way in a borrowed wheelchair. (Walking for me is very dangerous, but the pathway was too narrow for a wheelchair.) Strong guys had to lift me up and over the stairs where people usually board the ride. Several people made rude comments about me as I went by because they thought I had broken the ride. (One of the CMs did an emergency stop because another guest slipped getting into a boat. The emergency stop drains all the water in a minute and it takes another 30-40 minutes to refill it.) The staff were very attentive and helpful. And managers were so annoyed at those rude guests they gave me a day pass to come back and visit the park anytime over the next year. Yes, a full day's ticket. For me and my family. They were very nice to me.

On Primevial Whirl, at the absolute highest point of the attraction, my 3 brothers and I got stuck. We waited, thinking it was just block brakes. And waited. And waited. Until we realized that the ride had broken down. we were stuck for probably about 15 min (It seemed like hours) before a CM came and took another 15 min to put some guardrail up, then we took the stairs all the way down. No FPs were given

Splash Mountain in WDW, ride stopped mid way and we sat there for 45 minutes before we were escorted out the back then back into the park. it was frustrating because it was our first ride of the day right after the park opened and we lost so much time before the crowds showed up.

We got evacuated off Splash Mountain at DL last March during one of their huge/crowded "Spring Break" days. They took us out through the dark sets. It was definitely a bit unnerving to see all the animatronic characters still blinking and moving their mouths as if they were singing- even though the audio track was turned off. Would have been a good setting for a scene from that "Escape From Tomorrow" (unauthorized DL film) movie...

First time was at Disney's California Adventure- We were on Monsters INC when it stopped in the doors scene. I was disappointed we were not going to see the rest of the ride, but as it happened CMs arrived, had us get out of our vehicles, and we all walked single file through the rest of the ride to the next exit.
Second time was funny. Went to Dinosaur and asked if they had a singles line- They said no but Everest did (I knew that). Went on Everest with a group from South Carolina who had waited an hour. Train got to the very top where the bird used to appear and stopped. We waited about 5 minutes and then some CMs walked up next to us and said they were our "Mountain Rescue Team". They released each row individually and let us out, asking us to stay close to the staircase wall of the mountain. The family from South Carolina complained that they couldn't believe they waited and hour and this happened; meanwhile I'm like a kid at Christmas. They asked us to put away our cameras and walked us down the interior superstructure of the mountain to the bottom and then brought us out via a walkway next to the last length of track before the station. There, they gave us express passes for Everest for later.
I walked up to Dinosaur where the same attendants were and told them "Got this at Everest because it broke down. Can I use it here?!?" and they let me in.

We were evacuated from Seven Dwarfs Mine Train this past Saturday. It was fun.
Our car was just before the bend back into the loading station. So we got a short scenic back lot tour.
Best part was, we were given paper FP+ tickets to return up through 10/31. Of course we just went back for a night time run the same day.
Riding twice was a treat!

Evacuated from Winnie the Pooh last September. Who knows BroganMC, we may have been on the same ride that day
I was actually right at the last turn/ door and the ride was 99,5% done when we were evacuated due to technical problems. My walk was about 20 or 30 steps. Still got a fastpass though for Winnie or some other ride (like Ariel or Peter Pan) even though I felt I had been through the entire ride anyway.
Apart from that, no evacuations. I'm glad I didn't get stuck on a rollercoaster upside down or something lol
